Chapter 50 - THE FALL OF THE PHOENIX

05:30 AM (Bloody Dawn)

Main Gate of Chinatown – Sector 4

The sky turns a bruised purple-red as the convoy of Nero Familia's black vehicles halts directly in front of Seifong's truck barricades. The air feels static, as if the city itself is holding its breath before a massive explosion.

However, lurking in the shadows is another threat. The information has leaked. Due to the massive overnight movements, Sinclair's intelligence has caught the scent of war. Two police battalions, equipped with tactical vehicles, are poised at the district borders, waiting for the perfect moment to move in and "sanitize" whoever remains.

The Descent of the Legend

The door of the lead vehicle swings open. Rion steps out in his iconic style: a long black trench coat and his signature cowboy hat casting a deep shadow over his face. Behind him, every core member descends without exception.

Ren stands by Rion's side, clad in a tight black tactical suit and a face mask that leaves only her piercing eyes visible. Garry, Gin, Ricky, and Selina follow suit—all wearing black face covers. They are no longer just a gang; they are a shadow army.

"Remember," Rion's voice echoes from beneath his hat. "Break the barricades, seize the ammunition, and leave no room for negotiation. We have uninvited guests arriving shortly."

A War of a Day and a Night

The battle erupts as Gin obliterates the first barricade with a grenade launcher. Chinatown turns into hell in an instant.

Morning:Nero Familia pushes inward. Brutal close-quarters combat breaks out in every narrow alley. Chang leads a fanatical resistance, raining bullets from the upper floors of the shops.

Afternoon: Rion's forces reach the Phoenix Restaurant. Ren leads an infiltration team across the rooftops, moving like a ghost to neutralize Seifong's snipers one by one.

Night: Exhaustion begins to set in, but Rion's fury as a "Papi" does not dim. He breaches Seifong's main hall with a lethal kick, facing the last of the guards while the roar of gunfire continues outside.

Execution and Sinclair's Arrival

Just as the second dawn begins to break, Chinatown finally falls. Chang lies dead at Garry's feet, while Seifong is found cowering in his ammunition warehouse, trembling at the sight of Rion standing over him—his cowboy hat pierced by a bullet hole but still firmly in place.

"You destroyed my family," Rion says coldly before dragging Seifong outside.

At that moment, deafening sirens pierce the air. Two police battalions under **Sinclair** enter with full force, surrounding the decimated area. Sinclair steps out of his command vehicle, wearing a smug smile at the destruction before him.

"Drop your weapons! You are all surrounded!" Sinclair bellows through a megaphone.

Tension at the Police Line

Rion stands at the front of his exhausted but alert line of soldiers. Beside him, Ren remains silent behind her mask, staring at Sinclair with deep-seated hatred. Sinclair looks toward Ren, but due to her mask and tactical gear, he has absolutely no clue that the woman he intends to marry is the figure standing right next to the "demon" of Sector 7.

"You're late, Sinclair," Rion says, his voice raspy after fighting for a day and a night. "Chinatown has a new owner."

Sinclair narrows his eyes, feeling insulted. He wants to order an arrest, but he sees the muzzles of rifles from every window in Chinatown aimed squarely at his troops. Nero Familia has seized total control of the city's ammunition supply.

The night ends in a razor-thin ceasefire. Sinclair is forced to let them walk because the risk of losing two police battalions is too high. He has no idea that in this war, he didn't just lose control of Sector 4—he just stood face-to-face with his future bride without even realizing it.
