Chapter 39: Abyss Magic Lv10: Rebellion of Hell
Before they knew it, the temporary shelter the two had woven was surrounded by an endless sea of spider monsters. These were none other than their "beloved relatives" and "siblings."

A massive army of spiders swarmed the area around their home, a vast expanse of white. Leading them was a giant white spider radiating a powerful pressure; based purely on skills and attributes, this creature was comparable to Araba. Combined with the various spiders behind it, any ordinary opponent would have had their legs turn to jelly and knelt in surrender long ago.
However, neither Shirazawa nor Shiro showed any sign of fear. Instead, they looked almost expectant.
"Heh heh heh. Brothers and sisters, we've been waiting for you for a long time," Shiro said with a giggle, her eyes sparkling like stars. "This place shall be your burial ground!"
"Hiss-roar—!"
The spiders shrieked in unison, the sound waves powerful enough to overturn the forest canopy as if trying to tear the sky apart. They waved their chelicerae, creating a piercing noise that made one want to cover their ears. This level of mental attack, however, was ignored by the pair.
"Shiro, they seem to be saying: 'Please come home, Young Lady.'"
"Could you not tell cold jokes at a time like this?"
"Hahaha, I'm just kidding." Shirazawa laughed heartily, showing zero regard for the kinsmen before him. "All of you, come at us together."
He issued a flamboyant provocation. With their current strength, what was there to fear?
*Shoom—!*
*Shoom-shoom—!*
*Rumble!*
The "sisters" roared, and a sky-blotting barrage of silk shot out, attempting to entangle the two. Under such circumstances, dodging would usually be the best choice.
However...
"Flame Magic: Flame Hell!"
Accompanying the low shout, crimson flames descended from the sky, instantly enveloping the entire area and turning the silk into ash. Shirazawa stood proudly in the air, a thick killing intent surfacing in his eyes.
This was a magic skill he had "stolen" from Araba. As long as he had seen it once, the Heights of Occultism allowed him to replicate the formula's structure. It is said that only an enemy truly understands you, and that was spot on. The Fire Magic that once countered them now perfectly countered their brothers and sisters. Araba had been their best teacher.
"Hiss-roar—!"
The spider army let out tragic screams as the scent of charred carapaces spread. They couldn't understand why a spider could release flames, nor why these spiders weren't afraid of the fire. It defied all logic. *We're all spiders, why are you two so flashy?*
*Boom-boom-boom—!*
The effects of Flame Hell hadn't even faded before the Small Taratects began to fall. The duo's experience bars began to grow frantically.

"Thanks for the gift, brothers and sisters," Shirazawa chuckled, his palm opening as flames condensed out of thin air.
A spider using fire was indeed a bit perverse, but that was the result of their hard training—the resistance they had earned over countless days and nights of self-inflicted fire torture.
"Feel the charm of the flame." Shirazawa flipped his palm, and the fire left his hand, erupting into a roaring blaze in mid-air. This scene deeply shocked every spider present.
*Boom—!*
Shirazawa pointed a finger, and the raging fire exploded, instantly swallowing almost all the spiders.
"Woo-haha! Successful counter-kill!" Shiro cheered, her face full of excitement and joy. These spiders, while strong in raw power, were severely lacking in intelligence. They were essentially score-boosting tools delivered right to their doorstep!
Shirazawa gave a fond smile, his gaze landing on the spiders that continued to swarm forward as he kept spitting out flames from his hands. It wasn't until their bodies felt a faint ache that they stopped releasing Fire Magic. Even though their Fire Resistance was quite high, releasing it for a long period still placed a burden on their bodies.
Within the rolling thick smoke, shrill and sorrowful cries rang out, enough to make one's hair stand on end.
"They aren't dead yet?"
"As expected of Greater Taratects that have reached the Dragon-class tier," Shiro remarked. With such terrifying defensive capabilities, they wouldn't be able to do much unless they showed their true strength.
As the smoke cleared, only the leading Greater Taratect remained; the rest of the spider army had been converted into experience points, adding bricks to their path toward godhood.
"In that case, let's try this move." Shirazawa raised an eyebrow, a strange light flashing in his eyes.
*Hiss—!*
The massive Greater Taratect seemed to sense the impending crisis and let out a furious roar.
*Shoom-shoom-shoom—!*
A web of silk that covered the sky shot toward Shirazawa. This wasn't ordinary silk; it was laced with toxins and mucus, enough to rot skin upon contact. But Shirazawa clearly didn't care, focusing entirely on constructing a grand magic circle.
"Shiro, pin this guy down."
"Leave it to me!" Shiro promised, patting her chest with a smile before leaping to a high point.
Countless Dark Magic Bullets shot toward the silk, swallowing it in darkness in an instant.
*Bang! Bang! Bang!*
Amidst the explosions, the Dark Magic Bullets shattered. The resulting shockwaves pushed the giant spider back a hundred meters, leaving a long trail on the ground. Such an attack didn't cause much damage, but it didn't matter. Shirazawa was about to make his move.
A sky-blotting magic array expanded, and a terrifying pressure swept through the entire forest. The spider monster went rigid upon sensing this aura; it felt the shadow of death looming over it. Shirazawa walked slowly toward the spider and spoke indifferently.
"Want to run?"
"Hiss!" It roared with resentment.
"Heh~ Is that so? Mother's orders cannot be disobeyed?"
"Then there's no choice. I'll have to ask you to return to the embrace of the system."
"Abyss Magic Lv10: Rebellion of Hell!"
As the words fell, Shirazawa raised both hands to the sky. In an instant, the world went dark as the winds shifted. The previously clear sky was abruptly covered in thick black clouds, blotting out the sun. A pitch-black Gate of Hell appeared in mid-air, surrounded by a chilling, ghostly aura; an atmosphere of violent destruction filled the world.
*Rumble!*
Thunder crashed as countless bolts of lightning swirled around the gate.
*Creeeeak—*
The heavy Gate of Hell slowly swung open, revealing a deep, pitch-black void within. In this moment, the world fell silent. Every sound vanished, leaving only the heart-palpitating fear emanating from the gate.
A terrifying suction force pulled from the gate. The massive spider struggled with all its might, but against that horrific pull, it couldn't even manage a proper reaction. It was dragged inside, vanishing from the world.
*Thud!*
The Gate of Hell slowly closed, as if nothing had happened. But Shirazawa knew that the spider would never return.
