Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The powerless boy

Next morning, Ren woke up with hope in his eyes.

After everything he had seen in this new world, he tried to use magic for the first time.

But nothing happened.

No flame. No wind. No water.

Only silence.

Confused and frustrated, he went to his father.

"Dad… I can't use any magic. But other kids can already control elements…"

His father smiled calmly and placed a hand on his head.

"Don't worry, Ren. You still have time. When you turn ten, your true magic will be revealed."

Those words gave him a little comfort… but deep inside, he still felt left behind.

While other children played with magic, Ren started focusing on his body instead.

He trained every day, pushing his limits.

⏳ Time Skip – Age 10

The day of the magic test finally arrived.

All the children of the village gathered in the central square.

The village chief, Eldric Varun, stood on a raised platform watching carefully.

"One by one, step forward," Eldric announced. "Let the world witness your talent."

The first child placed his hand on the magic stone.

Fire erupted violently.

The crowd cheered.

Next—water flowed like a stream.

Then—wind spiraled into the sky.

One by one, children awakened their magic.

Then came the three most talented kids of the village.

🔥 Kael Draven stepped forward.

He placed his hand on the stone—

BOOM!

A massive flame exploded around him.

Gasps filled the air.

"Fire magic… Level 3!"

Kael smirked confidently.

💧 Lyra Mistwood walked next.

The stone glowed softly.

Water rose gently, forming beautiful shapes in the air.

"Water magic… Level 3!"

The crowd went silent in admiration.

🌪️ Ryon Skyler stepped forward last.

A strong wind burst out, lifting dust and leaves everywhere.

"Wind magic… Level 3!"

Even the elders were shocked.

Eldric Varun spoke seriously:

"In my entire life, I have rarely seen Level 3 magic. These three… will bring glory to our village."

Then came Ren.

The crowd became quiet.

Some whispered.

"Haruto's son… will he also be a genius?"

Ren slowly placed his hand on the magic stone.

Nothing happened.

No light.

No reaction.

Silence.

The stone remained dead.

Whispers turned into laughter.

"No magic…?"

"He's useless…"

Ren stood frozen.

His heart sank.

Without saying a word, he turned and ran into the forest.

🌑 In the Forest

Ren sat under a tree, fists clenched.

"Even in this world… I am still nothing."

Rustling sounds came from behind.

A Goblin jumped out—its eyes glowing red.

It attacked instantly.

Ren tried to move—but the speed was overwhelming.

The claw came down—

BOOM!

A fire blast struck the goblin mid-air.

It flew back and collapsed.

Ren turned in shock.

His father had arrived.

Calm… but his hand was still burning with fire.

"Don't underestimate my son," he said firmly.

He took Ren back home.

That night, Ren didn't speak a single word.

But something inside him changed.

"If I don't have magic… then I will create my own strength."

From that day, he trained relentlessly.

Wooden sword in hand, he entered the forest daily.

Running, fighting, surviving…

⏳ Time Skip – Age 12

Ren was no longer weak.

His speed, strength, and combat instincts had reached the level of an A-rank adventurer.

Even experienced hunters were shocked by his physical ability.

But in this world… physical strength was still considered inferior to magic.

Meanwhile, Eldric Varun made an announcement.

"These three prodigies—Kael Draven, Lyra Mistwood, and Ryon Skyler—will be sent to the Magic Academy."

The village celebrated their future.

At the same time, Ren's father spoke to him.

"Ren… you will go too. Not as a mage… but to find your own path."

Ren looked up silently.

His journey was about to begin.

A world of magic… and his own path of strength awaited.
