Chapter 1: Rebirth
The city was crowded, filled with the noise of honking cars and people rushing through their daily lives.
Everything looked normal.
But not for him.
Sitting at his office desk, the young man looked exhausted. Dark circles covered his eyes, and a strip of medicine rested in his trembling hand.
"Every day feels the same… the same pain… this illness…" he muttered under his breath. "It's like my life has become a burden."
"Focus on your work! This isn't a hospital!" his boss shouted from across the room.
He stayed silent.
He didn't even have the strength to respond anymore.
It was night.
Heavy rain poured down as water gathered on the streets, reflecting the dim glow of streetlights.
The young man walked alone, his head lowered.
"Maybe… it would be better if everything just ended…" he whispered.
Suddenly—
A small child ran onto the road.
"Mom…!!" the child cried out.
In the distance, a speeding truck rushed straight toward him.
For a brief moment, the young man froze.
Then, without thinking—
He ran.
With all his strength, he pushed the child out of the way.
And in the next second…
The truck hit him.
Silence.
Only the sound of rain remained.
Darkness…
Endless darkness…
Slowly, he opened his eyes.
"Am I… alive?" he murmured.
His body felt strangely light.
Then, a soft glow appeared before him.
"You gave your life for someone else…" a calm, deep voice echoed.
"Who… who are you?" he asked.
"You will now be given a new life… in a new world."
The light suddenly grew brighter—
And everything faded away.
When he opened his eyes again…
Everything had changed.
A small village, surrounded by greenery, filled with the peaceful sounds of nature.
Inside a modest house, a woman held a newborn baby in her arms, smiling warmly.
"Our son…" she said gently.
Her name was Aiko.
Beside her stood a man, his eyes filled with tears of joy.
"This is the greatest blessing of our lives…" he said softly.
He was Haruto.
Haruto gently placed his hand on the baby's head.
"What should we name him?" he asked.
Aiko looked at the child with love in her eyes.
"His name will be… Ren… Ren Haruto."
The baby slowly opened his eyes.
"Where… am I…? Who are these people…?" a voice echoed within him.
"Wait… I remember everything… my previous life…"
Aiko pulled him close to her chest.
"Ren… you're safe now…"
A few years later…
Ren had grown into a 5–6-year-old boy.
He stood among other children in the village.
Suddenly, one of them raised his hand—
Wind began swirling around it.
Another child controlled water.
And a third ignited a small flame on his fingertips.
Ren watched in shock.
"Is this… magic?" he thought.
An old man stepped forward.
"In this world, every person possesses magic," he said.
"Wind, Water, Fire… and each magic has levels—from 1 to 5."
Ren remained silent.
But something inside him had changed.
"If I've been given a second chance at life…"
His eyes slowly filled with determination.
"Then this time… I won't stay weak."
A new story had begun…
With a new power waiting to awaken…
