"It is not safe to go out at night considering what happened yesterday," Solomon warned, remaining in the doorway of his guest chamber.
"It is perfectly fine now that the Lumiere soldiers are here guarding the perimeter," Lune responded, offering a reassuring smile. "And it's just a short stroll."
Solomon stepped back into his room to grab Eden's Penance. He strapped the heavy executioner's sword securely across his back before joining her in the corridor.
They left the inner palace and passed through the sprawling royal gardens, beginning their jog up the winding mountain trails. Lune glanced over her shoulder at the massive weapon bouncing against his back.
"There was no need for you to take the sword with you," Lune noted, navigating a steep incline.
"I do not want to take any risks," Solomon replied, keeping his pace steady beside her.
