"Compulsion…"
William repeated the word slowly, his eyes still fixed on Thalia as countless thoughts ran through his mind.
"I've been wrecking my brain trying to figure it out," he admitted quietly. "Thinking about what exactly you were trying to do to me those two times…"
His gaze sharpened slightly.
"So you were trying to compel me?"
Thalia only stared back at him silently for a moment before asking instead of answering,
"And yet you didn't seem affected by it at all… so who are you?"
William frowned faintly.
"Who are you?" he asked back immediately. "Because none of this makes any sense."
He let out a dry laugh and leaned back slightly against the seat.
"You can't possibly be a vampire, right?" he sneered lightly, clearly finding his own words ridiculous the moment he said them.
"No, I'm not." Thalia answered immediately before narrowing her eyes at him. "Are you?"
William blinked once.
"What?"
