Jason was just like any other man, he wanted to attain fame and glory through his talents but a painful reality hit him in his early adulthood. Jason discovered he wasn’t funny, and could never dream to attain the prestige of Kevin Hart and Matt Rife. Jason wished he had more trauma to joke about but he was brought up in a perfect family, his mother and father loved one another and his younger sister supported him by resharing his shows through her social media platforms despite her small following. Jason knew he had to up his game or he might actually have to find a job. And then he stumbled upon a Reddit post, it was pure gold. Jason tried his luck on his next comedy gig and to his utmost surprise, everyone laughed. He was happy but it was short-lived as he was soon exposed as the fraud he was. Amid this, his girlfriend broke up with him, he was unfunny after all, not bad-looking but he came with a rather small package. Jason knew he had to make a comeback but the Reddit post he was stealing jokes from was no more, it had disappeared off the face of the internet like it never existed. It had been deleted but there was one joke Jason remembered, it was a joke about trains and how it always seemed to hit a character regardless of where that character was. It was a stupid joke and he had no idea what they were talking about as he wasn’t one to watch anime so the reference went right over his head. But soon after, he died the exact same way the joke described and Jason finally got the joke as he lay dying in the middle of the road. He chuckled realizing he was the punchline all along. "Truck-kun... truly finds all." But this wasn't the end of his story as he took his final breaths. The Beast Within – The Bloodclaw (Volume 3)

The flight was only the beginning. Yulong has turned to ash, yet from the ash grow new shadows. The Dark King has changed his face—he now wears the features of a dead man, and those who look into his eyes do not see a stranger, but the neighbor from next door. His hunger is no longer his alone. His progeny roam the night, scenting life in the veins like ripe fruit, spreading like a curse across the land. Liyen follows a small flame. A tiny light in the darkness that neither flickers nor fails—the little Qi-Flame that dances through forgotten paths and leads her deeper, down into the earth where silence breathes and memories do not die, but wait. Down there, in the gullet beneath the world, the lost one is said to be. But what lurks in the depths is no prisoner—it is an exchange: A cage of flesh in which two breaths writhe—and only one may remain. Meanwhile, strangers open a door in the night. When this band of foreign adventurers appears in the darkness, the true journey has only begun. Instead of finding refuge, they find a blood-feast and smiles that almost reach the eyes. For sometimes the greatest danger is not the monster you fear, but the friend who smiles at you—whose teeth only show when the moon loses its blood. Now stands the choice: To speak the warning and be branded mad—or to remain silent and watch with living flesh as trust turns to slaughter. (Volume 3 of The Beast Within series – The Bloodclaw—a direct sequel to "Yulong") A story about how sometimes the monster does not lurk beneath the bed, but beneath the skin—and about what price it demands to wear a face that is not your own.
