"Thank you for the compliment. I designed the crown myself." Jasper answered her for me. "Melianna gave me the pleasure of wearing it tonight. I see that you borrowed your tiara from Chloe since it is technically Braxton property. Please return it to the nearest Braxton guard at the end of the night in its rightful case or else I will have to arrest you."
I watched as Annan's face pale at his words. She excused herself and ran towards Chloe. In no time at all, Chloe and Edward came to her rescue.
"Brother-" Edward began but was cut off by Jasper.
"You may call me Prince Ive, Prince Jasper, or your majesty, or even your highness. If you fail to call me as such, I will have you whipped at the stake." Jasper informed Edward. "You have lost all rank and the only thing left to your name is the fact that you married a princess."
Edward then turned his eyes on me hoping that I could reason with Jasper no doubt. "Melia, please do reason with Jasper. The tiara was Chloe's birthday present."
"No." I replied sternly.
Before they could reply, I lead Jasper away. I was getting tired and wanted to go to bed. Jasper lead me to my lake house as we chatted about the evenings events. We laughed over Catherien and my mother's reactions along with Annan and Edward. We stood outside of my door as we said our good byes. As Jasper went to walk off, I stopped him remembering that I was still wearing his crown.
"JASPER!!" I called out to him making him turn around and walk back to me. I watched him frown as I pulled off the crown and hand it to him. "This is yours before I forget. Thank you for letting me wear it. Have a nice night. I will see you later." I said as he just frowned down at the crown.
He didn't say anything else as he walked away still frowning at the crown that he played with in his hands. I wonder if I he did not want me to give the crown back? I pushed that thought to the side as I entered my house and locked the door behind me.
I walked over to my hidden closet behind a book case and grabbed a long flimsy shirt that hung off of one shoulder and a pair of leggings with underwear. I brought them to the connecting bathroom. I left my dress hanging in my closet but I will take it out once I am finished to hang on the railing so that it doesn't wrinkle. I decided to take a quick shower since I was tired from today's events. Once I was finished and dressed, I tied my hair in a wet messy bun then took my dress out to hang up.
As I was hanging up my dress, I noticed a long white wood box with a silver bow and note on top that laid on my bed. I raced down the stairs to the box. I noticed that the wood was made of the same wood as the crown box. Only this box's bottom was black instead of white. A silver crown was carved into the front of the box that matched the crown I wore tonight. I picked up the note on top and read it.
Happy late birthday Melia! Please except this present from me.

I smiled like an idiot at his note. I opened the case to see the sword I was admiring earlier but this one had a silver crown etched into the sheath and a diamond crown on the blade. I found anther note in the box.
You said that it was 'improper' for a lady to own a sword.

My smile grew even bigger as I read that note. I was happy to have meet Jasper today. I moved the case to the other side of the bed since I no longer had the energy to find a place for it in the house. I crawled into the bed as I shut off the lights. I fell asleep quickly and slept soundly through the night.
