"Affirmative." Minerva started to move towards the door. But she did not go to the door that Shiro and the others came through. She went to the other door that was on the left side of the captain's chair.
"Why are we using this door instead of the one we came through Minerva?" Shiro immediately noticed the direction Minerva was going to and asked as he expected Minerva to lead them through the door they previously came through.
Minerva looked back at Shiro and started to explain. "Actually there are three elevators in this part of the ship. One is for your family's exclusive use, another one is for the crew to use and this one situated right beside the bridge is for the bridge personnel's."
As she said that the door identical to the one Shiro and the others came through slid open and revealed a small room. Which was around the size of hundred square feet.
Minerva went inside the room and gestured towards Shiro to entered. "Please enter." After Shiro entered the room Minerva told Shiro to put his hand on a familiar panel beside another door which was a bit bigger than other doors Shiro had seen so far on board of the Aurora. "Shiro please put your hand on the panel."
"Even here? Why is there a need to scan your palm to ride on an elevator. I can understand my family's living section but why here though?" Even though he was complaining he put his hand on the scanner. As soon as the light turned green the door opened and Shiro followed Minerva inside.
"It was made so that we can track who comes and goes into the bridge." Minerva explained. "Besides except for the common areas all the other areas has at least this type of security. And there are many places where you have to go through some more steps to get in. This was done so that we could track those foreign forces onboard the ship." As aurora had a lot of un wanted people on it the Tachibana's had to make obstacles and ways to track their activities. This was just one of them. "Also the bridge is a very important part of the ship we can not have people barging in whenever they want."
The door of the elevator closed. And the elevator started to go down. Shiro looked around the elevator. It was a larger than the ones normally used commercially actually it was slightly larger than the elevators used in hospitals which were made to carry beds, but this one was a lot square shaped than the ones used in the hospitals. the inside of the elevator was made of brushed metal and it brightly lit in white light.
"I understand what you are saying but it still could not save the crew from those bastards." What Shiro said was right In the end even after taking all these precaution everyone except his family members still died.
"You may be right but also somewhat wrong about that Shiro." Minerva did not exactly agree with what Shiro said.
"How so? Explain." Shiro looked at Minerva and asked back for clarification.
"If it was not for Sam majority of the crew would still be alive right now. And if these measures were not here Aurora would have been damaged beyond repair." The way Sam and his group acted before leaving they would have made sure that Aurora got destroyed. But since they could not they took the other option that is to make it disappear so that it could never harm them.
