As Wadjit had some time to calm down and collect himself, given that Amon had switched to abusing Harin and the commander, Wadjit's head started to work as it usually does, and what he saw didn't make sense.
Amon's openness to having the physicians examine Hakor's corpse doesn't sit right with Wadjit.
And then there is that wicked grin on his face, as if he knew this would happen.
Wadjit looks at Amon, and then at Harin.
He recalls how Amon just provoked Harin a minute ago. 'Did he do that on purpose?' Wadjit asked himself.
It started clicking in his head.
'Is this... is this all an act to strengthen his claim over Hakor's wealth?' A thought crosses Wadjit's mind, and as he looks at Amon and that wicked, all-knowing grin, Wadjit starts to think that his thoughts might be right.
From the very beginning, everything that has happened has all been within Amon's control.
