When Amon met the resistance movement, Lin Li was near the Fire Shrine. It was a large building with a main section that looked like a giant tube. Arched shells encircled its lower part, and its upper part was a dome with a hole at the top. A pillar of searing fire came out of this hole and soared directly to Heaven.
This fire pillar existed constantly. It resulted from a concentration of fire elements processed by the artificial ley node inside the building before being released to enrich the world's aether.
Thanks to the Fire Shrine, Serapion City was also known as the City of God-Smiths. Many forges were around the Fire Shrine. Professional smiths used the heat extracted from the Fire Shrine to practice their crafts. Therefore, many master- and even grandmaster-level smiths made their homes in this city.
