As soon as they went through the door again, they saw the same teacher?
Apollo said to Cias ,"Didn't we just see him?"
Cias replied ,"I guess they're low on staff."
Derrick of course overheard this conversation as he had for their previous conversation, he said ,"It's hard to have a military this big, so we have to make do with our predicaments? Am I not to your liking?"
Apollo and Cias were stunned for a moment, Cias said ,"No sir, we were just curious."
The room that they were now in was huge, from Apollo's senses alone, it seemed to be the size of an entire continent. It was filled with gym equipment and open space.
Derrick spoke ,"Your suits are equipped with a setting that allows you to alter the gravity of how heavy your suits are, this will strengthen your body as you get used to the weight, and right after, we will increase the weight accordingly. However, this room has many ways to also stimulate that need, so I will be increasing the gravity of this room to adjust for your better than average physiques."
An invisible weight started to oppress the entire class, but they all stayed standing. This quick change caused some people to fall but Apollo and Cias remained motionless, because they were used to gravity training before. (Interesting) Derrick thought ,"We will make good use of all of you, but for now, get on your hands, we're doing pushups till I say we're done."
When they got onto the ground and started doing pushups, Apollo noticed that all Derrick would ever say was ,"Again."
The weight was growing more and more oppressive by the second, what turned from using just their physiques to move was now them amplifying their strength with their Quison and recovering themselves as their bodies started to receive damage from training.
Derrick spoke ,"The good thing about you guys is that no matter how much I break you, you'll always come back, so I can train the weakness out of you one rep at a time."
Cias thought (He's just like Hiroto.) One by one, people fell, not being able to stand moving anymore until only Cias and Apollo were still moving, the gravity from them was still growing as it was releasing from the others. They both looked directly at each other, smiling like lunatics, not willing to give into their pain. Rep after rep they were getting more and more tired, but stronger and stronger. Their arms were shaking, Apollo's hand slipped and he fell to the ground, Cias continued his pushups with 14 more than Apollo.
When Cias hit the ground, the gravity released ,"I guess that was all you had."
Apollo smirked at him ,"I'll get you next time asshole."
Derrick transferred his energy to Cias and Apollo for them to recover ,"It seems like you two really can grow strong fast. I think I'd like you to display to the class your strength on full display, I'm also curious to see your techniques for myself."
When they both recovered to an adequate level they summoned their weapons and faced off with each other, a Barrier was placed around them. They both knew that this would be a battle of basics, technique and power.
Their eyes began to glow as their bodies became limp and relaxed. The class was looking at them, one of the boys said ,"They might be stronger than us but there's no way they could beat u-" BOOM.
A massive explosion erupted inside the bubble as dust kicked up in the hair, there was a flash of gold and green, TINK TINK TINK TINK. The sounds berated the ears of everyone there. Apollo swung from the side but was blocked by Cias CHONK. Cias twisted his spear and ducked under the blade as he slashed with his spear, Apollo tilted his sword and blocked the incoming blow TOOONK. He then dashed in and wrapped around Cias's body before coiling himself around Cias's arm and settling into an armbar. But right before he could fling him to the ground he saw Cias's blade shift into that of a humanoid form and wrap around him, putting him in a rear naked choke hold. Cias didn't allow the opening, it was deliberately a trap to get Apollo in close for Cias's teamwork to shine. As Apollo was almost about to go unconscious he tapped.
Derrick undid the barrier ,"Well done, I'm sure you'll have a few training partners if they're not already afraid."
Derrick smiled ,"Training has ended for today, make sure to get good rest and recover, it's half the importance of training in the first place. These next months will be grueling, so make sure to train hard."
