Sergei asked the questions and whenever Damien didn't give an answer, he would order the vampire to press the hot metal on his body.
After about fifteen minutes of torture, Sergei spoke again. "Rune must not have taken away every ounce of physical pain you may have left. That is sad, but what can be done?" He spoke like he had any care. His tone was void of sympathy.
Damien's clothes were ripped and he was bleeding all-round from every part of his body that was seared. His head hung low, helpless, and his chest heaved up and down as he breathed slowly.
Samantha watched from the side with her fists clenched on either side. She was obviously angry at Damien for not yielding to Sergei's offer. She hated that he choose instead to suffer and die along with it.
