James woke up at the crack of dawn, anxious about the day ahead of him. Charlotte and James had agreed that they would meet at the University. James put on his graduation suit and sat to have breakfast and coffee Julian stood off to the side "Sir these are the people you wanted to see" gesturing to a couple of people behind him.
James waved his hand "stepped forward and introduce yourself" he asked
a young man stepped forward first "I am Frank, graduate of finance"
another one stepped forward a bit older then the first "I'm Jake, I have a business degree and IT skills"
the third one stepped forward "I am Wendy, I have 3 years of experience of business and assistant positions"
James nodded as he swallowed the last bit of food "I am James, you three can work for me the pay will be decent, but it might be difficult with time, if you don't want a tough job, you may leave here with no tough feelings"
"Mr James when you say the time will be difficult, could you please explain?" Jake asked politely
"Of course, my schedule is all over the place to you might be called at weird hours to do tasks. example I have to go to graduation today and after this meeting, then afterwards I have things to do for hours straight so you might not have work, or you might have plenty to do." seeing their puzzled looks he explained further "you only have work if I give you work, or if you receive a call from Charolotte she will give you work Aswell."
"It sounds either we busy or we not, seems too good to be true" Jake mumbled
"That might be the case, but would you want to take a chance?" James saying while smiling
the three of them looked at each other "if it is only a chance then we willing to have a 3-month trial period" Wendy suggested to try ease some of the tension.
James clapped his hands together "3 months that's fair, then I have the first job for you three to be completed by 3pm" James slid a file across the table with his contact info before leaving to the university.
Julian saw the 3 out "he might seem like he doesn't know what he is doing, but trust me the young master is well worth it"
"Who are you towards him?" Frank asked
"I am the head of his security" Julian spoke calmly
the three of them left going together opening the folder to see what they were assigned. Their eyes widened in disbelief "is he insane? how does he expect us to complete this task" Jake said in disbelief.
"Wendy, you see this? it rather smart and simple if we play the cards right" Frank said excitedly
"I agree"
James walked into the University people were already gathered in the Hall chatting between themselves, James stood out of the way of everyone's line of sight. he never had a good time in Uni but today he just wanted to get this formality out of the way as quick as possible, the hair on the back of James head stood up feeling an intense feeling someone was watching him.
Turning around trying to find anything out of the ordinary yet nothing was there, the Halls doors opened up having Charlotte walking in with her parents behind her. she was wearing a beige knee-high dress, showing her curves off. James stood in spot in awe, Charolotte noticed him staring away from the crowd and smiled, Lucian noticed the direction she was looking and gave his wife a little nudge to show what he was seeing.
she hurriedly waved James over with a smile. "That young man looks quite dashing in a suit"
"I believe that is the first time I saw him wearing such a pricing suit" Lucian added
James smiled while saying "Sir, your daughter bullied me to wear this and to spend money yesterday" putting on a sarcastic look of pity.
Charlotte pinched his arm, "Come on, let's grab our seats" Lucian said pretending he saw nothing. seeing James and Charlotte walk Infront of them Lucian leant over closer to his wife "do they seem closer than normal?"
"shhh you hopeless romantic" she nudged Lucian with her elbow.
others began to notice Charlotte and James together; they began to stare Dustin was a part of the onlookers clenching his fist tightly, a drip of blood formed in his hand. Dustin couldn't control himself anymore and walked over to James and Charlotte, the lights dimmed as a speaker stepped onto the stage. Dustin's chance to confront James in-front of Charlotte's family had come to a halt.
Three hours had passed; everyone began to leave the Graduation Hall. Charlotte arms were latched with her parents on each side enjoying finally finishing school. Dustin stood in-front of her them three "Sir, I'm not to sure how to say this but your duaghter had been forced by the poor kid to do things. I don't know what he has over her but there's nothing i can do to make him stop"
"who?" Lucian said in confusion
"his name is James Jefferson" Dustin said confidently
"you have nothing to fear, James and Charlotte work closely together under my supervision and James is my driver for the company as well. so, there isn't any time for them to talk about anything besides work" Lucian said calmly
"so you have been deceived too?" Dustin asked
Lucian smiled and took a step closer to Dustin "listen here, James has become an unofficial member of my family, since he had started working with us the company has been running smoother than ever and all he thinks about is work. and when Charlotte isn't working, she is hanging out with her friends or studying and as her father I have never seen her mood change in anyway signally something is wrong"
