Lucian chuckled a little bit before charlotte jumped in "one thing about James if you show him kindness he always repays. we gave him a meal and so he is doing the dishes, and we can't tell him otherwise, he is stubborn as a mule"
her mum's curiosity grows bigger towards James. James finished off the dishes and walked back out to every seeing two gifts sitting on the table, he looked at Charlotte to try understanding a little more "take a seat really quick" Lucian said
charlotte shrugged her shoulders out of confusion Aswell "since dinner is over, when I saw you, both working today I realized why Charlotte is so eager to stand up for you, you both are in sync and the dynamic between you both is smooth as silk"
placing one gift in-front of charlotte and the other in-front of James, as they opened the gifts up "the only thing you both were missing was you own personal laptops, I can work on company matters but you both are meant for more and you both should of realized that today while you were working on that side project you both were cooking up"
"Wait dad you knew?"
"a don't need the details but I did receive a call from someone asking if I knew what you were planning. don't worry I told them that you are your own person and should expand your horizons and left it at that" with a prideful smile he continued "whatever you did made them extremely shocked with how professional you were and how planned out you had everything"
The next morning James woke up and waking to the kitchen seeing Julia and Trish talking, the moment Julia saw him she went quiet "Trish I'm going to pay this month's rent and going to move out"
Trish nodded "it is time I suppose, doubt that I can change your mind"
James turned to Julia "you may not know but I'm the driver for the president if the brand and work closely with his daughter which is the personal assistant to the chairman. so, the places I can get into just because of what I do is no one's concern, if you keep hanging out with those types of people then you will become one" after speaking James didn't stick around, he packed a back and grabbed the few belongings he had proceeding to leave without saying anything else.
placing his bags into the trunk of the car dialling Andy's number "Andy I need a house to stay in and find a few people you find able to become an assistant"
"I will send you an address, Stefan had already set something up for you before he had left. yet for assistants you will have to that personally, or at least have someone to vet them for you"
Andy explained that if James didn't personally find someone himself that issues might arise later purely out of loyalty. so, to avoid that he had to take the time and scope out everyone or have Charlotte do it since she is close to him already anyone else would be futile. using his own men as example that he started out with a one then grew from there only ones he has closest is those he seeks out himself.
heading to the address he noticed that it was a huge building, stepping out of the car at the entrance. Andy walked up to him asking for one of his men to take the car to the underground parking lot. they walked through the lobby to get to the elevator "these men are my men, when you get men of your own you can switch them over, no one will bother you here as well" Andy spoke with confidence.
they got into the elevator; Andy gave the elevator attendant a nod. pulling out a card "this is a key for your place, if anyone else tries using it then alarms will ring out"
"This place has high security" James mumbled
"This is nothing should see what the other places have" nudging James as he spoke.
getting to the top floor the elevator opens straight into the floor "this is all yours now, everything is already set up for your needs, Stefen even took in account your business mind while setting up the study"
"Thank you Andy"
"Don't worry about it, we on the same side, if you want to really thank me treat me to a steak dinner" he added jokingly
"After my graduation it's my treat"
Andy didn't linger and left letting James get settled in, placing his bags down in the bedroom he decided to check out the study that Andy mentioned, seeing a desk in the middle of the room with books behind it, with a dual monitor set up. "That crafty sneak, never changes" saying to himself with a smile.
Two days went by in a blink of a graduation day snuck on James, with less than a day away James hurriedly called charlotte asking for her help. she clicked her tongue loud "I thought you'd be more prepared"
meeting Charolotte at the shopping plaza, James was stunned for a moment seeing her wearing casual clothes.
"Stop daydreaming, we have shops to visit, and time is clearly not on your side" Charolotte said as she grabbed James's arm and pulling him away, her professional demeanour was gone James was left speechless once again as he saw another side of her, he had not seen before.
James lost track of how many stores they had visited, as they visited the last store it was getting to closing time. Charolotte was getting concerned that they hadn't found anything good, a black-on-black suit caught her eye "try that one on!" Charlotte urged.
James sighed and smiled doing what she had asked, a few minutes later James walked out of the dressing room. the suit captured his figure to the dot. Charlotte gasped "that one is way too good for just graduation"
Seeing another suit beside it having it wasn't as good as the first one, she got James to try the second one on too, he stepped out of the dressing room for a second time "this is not fair, get both"
she thought to herself "why does he got to look good in any suit"
she waved over the assistant "can you pack everything up on this row please" Charlotte asked.
James looked at her with a raised eyebrow "why you are giving me that look? you're paying for it" Charlotte said without stuttering sticking her lounge out.
