Thump!thump!thump came the fast beating hearts of the second concubine and her son Joel. The song of fear of the duo caused by the approaching footsteps of the first prince was heard clearly by the rest of the family.Consort Aurora has always feared prince Ephraim because of the dark aura around him which is more choking than that of the vampire king,and the fear of the prince was transferred to her son.
Prince Ephraim came in with gait before sitting on the chair he created with his dark power situated at the center of the meeting room.After balancing his posture,he sighed when he had enough fear from the mother and son duo.
"Please continue with the meeting" he spoke.
The king became filled with anger for his first prince rude behavior of not curtsying before him, THE KING OF ALL VAMPIRES.
He said in anger, "you have been stripped of your princely duties until you get yourself a bride to marry and she must be confirmed your true mate!"
Silence prevail over the room since no one expected the king's judgement.After Aurora heard of the king's declaration a vicious idea came to her mind [what if I tell the king to command the first prince to go to the human kingdom and search for his mate since he couldn't find one among vampires. He wouldn't be able to find his mate among humans because royal vampires can't mate with humans,since he wouldn't be able to marry a human then he will stop being a prince forever which means lesser competition for my son].
Aurora smiled evilly before standing up to talk.
"My king I would suggest that you ask the prince to visit the human kingdom for a search of his mate as a means of punishment for his insolense" she secretly gave the queen a mocking smile before sitting.
"NO! That won't be happening" came the firm voice of queen Sylvia.
"Remind me of why it won't be possible the king's true mate" Aurora retorts sarcastically then she added, "don't tell me it won't be possible because he is a royal (she rolled her eyes at her). We all know here queen,that our first prince here is not a normal vampire. He is not called the most dangerous vampire for nothing everything about him is abnormal,dark and cruel so one can not tell if his mate will be human. It wouldn't be a surprise because he has made history already" she finished with a disgusting tone.
'Father,she is just looking for ways to get the throne for her son please don't listen to her cunning words. So that you can let go of this matter,I and my twin promise to marry anyone you dim fit for us" Geyra pleads.
She looked at the first concubine Ruth for support but she doesn't seem to oppose the matter,then she sat down dejectedly,concluding that everyone wants her brother gone except her mother and sister.
All eyes turned to King Dracula in expectance of his response.
"I have decided.Ephraim Lived,you are to visit the human kingdom in search of your true mate" the king commanded.
The rest of the family shivered in fear when they felt the dangerous aura of the prince which is a result of his disagreement with his father.
Then the king adds "you either do as I say or you forget about your entitlement to the throne".
After hearing the firm voice of his father,Ephraim disappeared from the throne room leaving a trace of his dark power inherited from him feeding only on witches.
The meeting room became silent again because of the first prince sudden disappearance with the individuals in the room having their own different thoughts about the first prince.
The two concubines along with their sons thinking of how dangerous and powerful the prince has become and the queen along with her daughters thinking about how unfair the first prince was been treated.
