Chapter 42 - Cloud Beast System

One by one the orbs began to change shape. A bright flash of colors burst from them blinding him.The second his eyesight returned his mouth dropped and his eyes stretched out in disbelief making the hair all over his body stand up as chills rolled down his spine.

Standing before him was a green skinned giant that stood twelve feet tall. It's body was slim and muscular with large yellow bone looking spikes on each arm. His chest was wide and it was wearing a gold loincloth along with gold and white sandals that were made out of beast bones.

It's face structure looked to be somewhat like a man but Damon knew it wasn't, as it had two horns at the top of its head that curled back like a ram. It's ears were pointy and it had no nose. Not a nose that could be seen clearly anyway. It smiled at Damon showing sharp large yellow teeth making his heart drop to his nuts.

If Damon could move he would have ran the moment he saw it, but some type of force had him pinned down completely, forcing him to look up, while keeping his body in place. He tried closing his eyes, but the strange force didn't allow him.

"This must be hell. What the heck did I do to deserve this." He thought in fear.

His eyes drifted towards the right. Curled up was a huge violet color snake. It's scales shined like the moon in the darkest of nights as it slowly raised its diamond shaped head. It's eyes glowed and sent glares of silver light in his direction, like the reflection of a star mirrored in a lake.

Just looking at the beast, Damon felt like his soul was being pierced by its eyes alone. It took him a second to look further, but once he did his heart stopped completely as a beast he had only heard about in stories gazed at him with steady eyes.

A orange Dragon with rotating scales of fire stretched out it's large black wings. From its head to its tail, spikes with glowing tips could be seen and at the end of its tail was a ball of flames that crackled like a forest fire.

"What the hell. This can't be real, Dragons are myths. This is nuts, It can't be real." He whispered fearfully with frozen eyes.

His eyes shifted again and this time a small human woman with radiant yellow specs of light surrounding her stood in place. Her snow white hair stopped at the top of her petite backside. She wore yellow and blue skin tight metal armor from head to toe.

Her pale skin was beautifully flawless as her sapphire eyes shined bright. Everything was symetrically perfect about her, including her face as her confident gaze found Damon's eyes. A yellow lance stood upright in front her without her holding it, it was surrounded by the same yellow specs of energy as her.

Damon felt a Sense of relief seeing someone human at first, but something told him she was a monster, a monster in some other way as the energy around her was incredibly dense.

He looked at them all over and over again and neither one of them flinched. Nothing but fear was embeded in him at the moment and all of them could feel it. A few more seconds passed and Damon really started to panic as his anxiety reached a new level.

Suddenly the green horned giant burst out with laughter and then the woman. The snake eyes changed suddenly and it's gaze wasn't so dreadful. The only one that remained the same was the orange dragon, black smoke shot out his nostrils, but the seriousness of his flaming eyes remained.

They all just continued to laugh. The green horned giant was all on the floor holding his stomach. As huge as he was the floor didn't shake or anything while he moved around laughing.

It was nearly 30 seconds before all the laughter decreased the tension Damon was feeling.

"What the hell is so funny." He thought feeling the vibe change.

"I think I like this kid already. He's given me a much needed laugh." Spoke the giant, his voice sounded like someone speaking in a tuba instrument. It was loud, strong and bounced off the walls.

"Oh I needed a good laugh as well Greenhorn. Being with you three mood killers has made me dull." Said the woman with moonlight white long hair. Her voice was sweet and perky like a woman having a gossipy conversation with friends.

"Hey, I'm not a mood killer, If anyone is a mood killer, it's vale. All she do is stare at people with those venomous eyes of her's."

Responded green horn the giant.

The snake beast rose it's head high rocking back and forth with a petrifying stare after the green giants words.

"You see what I mean."

Within the blink of an eye vale, the purple snake had green horn coiled up within its constricting muscles. Damon didn't see her move. It was like she just appeared on top of him.

Green horn looked at her with uncaring eyes while positioning one of his arms forward pushing a section of her coiled body off him before he was completely immobilized.

"If you're going to do something, Give me your best shot, you mute." The giants voice became deeper and monstrous, and his tone was no longer playful.

The next second the woman zipped between them blocking a strike from vale, her lance clashed against the snakes fangs, but it wasn't without trouble. The energy around the lance flickered as if it was struggling.

"Oh come on Silva, I haven't had a good fight in three hundred years. I was looking forward to that strike. You're always getting in my way."

Vale, the snake pushed against the lance trying to get to green horn. This went on for a few seconds before the Dragon looked their way. Up until that point he hadn't taken his eyes off Damon.

"Cut it out you two. You're irritating Radix." Said Silva the beautiful and clearly fierce woman.

Looking back seeing the dragon eyes on them. Vale and green horn stopped immediately and took their former positions.

"Sorry about that Radix. I got a little excited I guess " said Green horn.

"These guys are insane." Damon thought.

"Are you going to speak, or has fear been rooted so deep into your heart, you've lost your tongue mortal." The Dragon spoke. It's voice rumbled and shook the room with every word.

"Ughhh, am I dead "

The Dragon eyes sent out a small glare, before it spikes again.

"You will be if I do not deem you worthy of my Creative system."

"System, wait that message from earlier said something about a system. It wasn't a creative system though. It said something about clouds." Damon thought.

"The creative system is its original name. Once it chose you as it's host. It adapted to your ability." Said Radix.

Damon looked at him with a realization because he knew he didn't speak out loud.

"So, I guess you can read my mind."

"One of my many gifts. You've been chosen by a system I created that can and has saved entire solar systems in the past. A system that could bring revolution through evolution. A weapon that helps cultivate and create."

"At this moment it's only preawakened. You must prove yourself in order to awaken it fully. If you fail the system itself will kill you and your entire universe will fall as you know it to be."

"Wait, what the hell. I'm just one person and I'm only 15 years old. What the heck am I supposed to do. "

"You are certainly very young. Like a unhatched egg with no experience in life. In truth, unborn. Yet my system has chosen you."

"The book on this alter is yours. It is the key to your full awakening and will keep you from certain death for now. Your body has already been healed by a new skill you received. "

"When the system sees that you are truly what it needs to cultivate. You will be returned here. If it does not deem you worthy, I will know and will give the kill order. Until then, try not to die from other things in your world."

"I bet the kid doesn't make it two months." Said the silver haired woman.

"Oh really. I bet we will see him again in no time. I'll take you on Silva." Said green horn.

"They're betting if I will die or not, are those two serious!"

"Now go. Prove that you are worthy to not only live mortal, but to change the direction of many lives."

With a single flap of his wings. Damons body shot backwards like a rocket. Going back through the vortex of clouds and the vast cloud space. Then back through the space of darkness.

Gasping, taking in a deep breath. He sat up instinctively fast as if he was having a nightmare.

He grabbed a hold of his head and face as memories of his fight with the beast rushed into him. He checked his entire body thoroughly and saw not a single blemish or wound.

"Was it all a dream. Those people, no those monsters. No way that was real."

Damon thought about it for a little and soon smiled in relief while laying back down.

"Man, that was one crazy dream. It felt so real. Wait, where the hell am I."

Jumping up he realized he was in a room, in someone's bed. He got out of bed slowly tip toeing to the doorway taking a peek around the corner when a sound came to his ears.
