World Guardian?
The shocked shouts of Edo Chase and the others helped Chase regain some composure. According to the original story, Acnologia could be briefly restrained by the space between time. He should not have the ability to travel between worlds like the Moon Dragon God.
At least not at this point in time. It was unlikely he was in Edolas.
So, was this a counterpart? Like Porlyusica?
Calming down, Chase noticed that this Acnologia, like other people of Edolas, had no noticeable magic power.
Even so, he was still the ultimate boss of Earthland. And he was alone on this strange island of bones. Something was not right.
Without looking away, Chase whispered to Edo Gildarts. "Gildarts, do you know him?"
"There is no doubt. That face. We saw it on our travels in the northern continent."
Edo Gildarts studied Acnologia. "On a stone tablet in an old village."
"He just looks like him, right? According to the villagers, Acnologia led warriors against the heavenly gods and protected the world. That was over four hundred years ago," Edo Evergreen said.
"A human cannot live that long," Edo Freed said.
Edo Chase, from the God Realm, had a different view. "It is not impossible..."
From this, Chase understood what this Acnologia was. If what the Edo Chase team knew was true.
The man himself could answer.
"I do not recall being called the World Guardian. But..."
Acnologia heard them. His arms crossed, his eyes looked down at them. "My name is Acnologia. I did lead warriors in a bloody war against invaders from another world."
Unlike the Acnologia of Earthland, who would not speak to "ants," he was not arrogant. His voice was rough and tired.
"You are really Acnologia? Then what is this floating island? Why did you seal so much magic power here?"
Emboldened that the man could be talked to, Edo Chase asked many questions. He wanted to know the secret of the giant foot.
Acnologia did not answer. He jumped down from the stone hill. He walked toward them.
"I do not remember the last time I saw humans. You broke the seals and found this place. You deserve praise. But..."
His eyes looked them over. "You are too weak. Go back."
"Go back? We came too far to go back!" Edo Bickslow said.
"Yes! The whole world is running out of magic. You are hoarding it. What kind of guardian are you?" Edo Evergreen said.
Acnologia stepped toward them.
They flinched. They hid behind Chase.
The air was tense.
Chase was calm. He saw no will to fight in the man's lonely eyes.
"Face is a manifestation of magical crystals. Take what you can."
He turned to leave.
Edo Gildarts took out a shovel. "You said it. I will not be polite."
Where did you get that shovel?
They did not care about Acnologia. They wanted the magic.
Chase stayed. He watched Acnologia leave. He felt something was wrong.
Then, it happened. He lost contact with his magic power.
"What? The magic crystal in my shovel is dim!" Edo Gildarts said.
"My cards are useless!"
"My medical kit too!"
"My gun too!"
They were all shocked.
"I forgot to tell you. I have no magic. But I can nullify all magic."
Acnologia did not turn around. "Use your own strength to take what you want."
How can we break that with our own strength?
They realized. He never wanted them to take the magic.
They were about to argue.
WHOOSH!
A storm of crimson magic power exploded.
Chase stood inside a phantom of Slifer the Sky Dragon. "It seems not all magic is useless."
Even so, Acnologia's ability was frightening.
In Earthland, Acnologia could eat magic and was immune to it. This one was even more absurd. He could seal magic.
When Chase lost contact, he tried to summon his cards. He could sense them. But he could not use them.
Only by using his God Slayer state, which had the presence of a god, did he regain some feeling.
Some. Because even that was being suppressed.
His God Slayer magic still used magic power. It was not the true power of Slifer.
But it was enough to prove how powerful this Acnologia was. Even Gildarts would be powerless before him.
"You are not from Edolas?!"
Acnologia spun around. His face was twisted in rage. He was no longer calm or lonely.
He stomped the ground. It cracked. He shot forward.
BOOM!
His fist created a shockwave. The ground shattered.
Edo Chase and the others were thrown back.
Even with no magic, his punch is this powerful?
Chase crossed his arms. He blocked the punch.
"You said I was weak, did you not?"
His cape fluttered. He looked Acnologia in the eye.
Why was this Acnologia so angry at God Slayer magic? How did he get his power? Why was he called the World Guardian?
None of that mattered now.
"Hey, Acnologia. Let's fight!"
