The 11th layer, also known as the Sanguine Spire Ruins, was a name that matched its appearance well.
They stepped out from the darkness that enveloped the stairway leading down to the 11th layer, waist lamps raised to improve visibility. Once they emerged, they found themselves on a narrow proper pathway. The stone floor was wet, the air damp and clammy, and parts of the walls had collapsed, leaving debris scattered along the footpath. A red light shone through broken sections of the walls, illuminating bits of the path ahead. When they finally reached the end of the footpath, they were met with a sight that left their jaws hanging open.
"A real Red moon"
"Yes it is, it's the kind you only see in fairy-tales, cool"
Emma rebuffed Ryo's awe-struck question as they all looked up at the red sky, lit by a giant crimson moon that seemed far too close.
"How is this possible?" asked Tadashi.
