Emma, having fully recovered, was especially bubbly today. She was the first to move ahead of the group, attempting to leave for the 31st layer.
As she did, a mirror appeared, a dark, eerie mirror. From it, an item emerged and dropped. She reached out and caught it before it hit the ground. Immediately after, the mirror vanished.
It was a ring, a silver ring. They all stared at it, including Darian.
"What was that just now, did one of you do something?"
"N-no, it just appeared out of nowhere."
Darian's expression was one of intrigue. The spectacle that had just taken place left everyone confused and a little cautious.
"Let me behold that ring," said Darian.
"Um, yeah, okay, here."
Emma handed him the ring. They had no idea what he wanted it for. Perhaps he knew something they did not. He studied the ring for a moment, then gave it back to her.
