"Astra!" My mother rushed over, slightly pushing Astra away from where she bent over me.
"I didn't mean to push her, Mummy! I promise!" Seven year old Astra said with tears in her eyes, her voice filled with all the sincerity she could muster.
My mum hunched over my sitting form on the sand, my knee propped up as she fretted over the injury. The cut was indeed deep, and blood rushed out with such intensity that I almost fainted at the sight. I sniffed because Silvers did not cry.
"Nothing's going to happen to you, Decker! Mummy's here!" My mother started calling for my father. "Come quick! She's losing a lot of blood!" She began to panic as Father made his way over.
His eyes went from my injury to Astra's crying form. "What did you do?" Those orbs were colder than ice. Astra stopped crying on the spot. "Why did you push her? She's losing a lot of blood! That's on you. All on you. If anything happens to her..."
