ARC'S POV.
---
The car ride to the location of Damien was silent. Regulus moved closer to him, and Arc stiffened, "Stop provoking him, Arc. He will kill you."
"I don't know what you're talking about." He responded stiffly.
Regulus sighed, "I know, Arc. She was never yours to begin with."
Leave it to Reggie to observe things even without his eyes. Arc looked away, eyes locked on the back of the head of the silver-haired man.
Why did he get here? Why not him? Why did the bond matter so much? Was he not worthy enough for her? He was the best fighter in the pack, and he loved kids, like she did. He was there for her first.
The day she smiled at him when he went to her room was forever engraved in his brain.
For years, he had yearned for the type of love his parents had. Every time she leaned on him or came to him first, his heart soared. He could still feel her skin against his fingertips. Oh, how he would give up forever just to touch her.
