Chapter 602 - Chapter 602: A Trip with Conditions

Noah was no old fox, but he wasn't a fool either.

When Odin spoke, Noah immediately understood what he meant.

According to Asgardian history, the Valkyries had been wiped out by Hela alone.

Valkyrie was likely the only one still breathing, and her actions weren't exactly wrong-at least, Noah didn't think so.

They had been dragged into a family feud between the Odinsons, a conflict that left them shattered and dead.

Honestly, Odin bore heavy responsibility for that mess, though Noah couldn't be bothered to dwell on the past.

The most likely scenario was that the old man had grossly underestimated his daughter's strength, thinking a group of Valkyries could handle her.

Now, facing a deathly awkward situation, Odin probably wanted to make amends while reclaiming what Asgard had lost.

Noah felt he could actually help.

Once he had a method to summon souls, everything would become simple.

Unfortunately, the gains brought by Dormammu were too massive-so massive that Noah now had to accelerate his own affairs.

"Fine, I see your point," Odin sighed helplessly.

"It seems I'll have to find another universe for you."

"You already found one?" Noah looked at Odin in surprise.

"That fast?"

"When I gave you two choices, I thought you'd only pick one," Odin chuckled bitterly.

"I didn't expect it to end up like this. Truly a one-out-of-two choice. Yes, I found it."

Composing himself, Odin straightforwardly named the place he had found.

Noah was stunned.

The universe Odin selected coincided perfectly with his own recent idle speculations.

Odin hadn't picked a world ruled by gods of the underworld or death; instead, he chose a universe he deemed "weak," yet one that contained exactly what Noah needed.

According to Odin, that universe had a clear ceiling-uninteresting in terms of raw power, yet highly valuable.

The entrance was located on an island nation in the East.

A world of ninjas.

From that description, Noah guessed exactly where it was.

But a new question arose.

If such a place existed, was his old home teeming with parallel universes?

The thought made Noah shudder.

He shook his head to force himself to stay calm.

He then raised a crucial point.

Since Odin said the power ceiling wasn't that high, how would his own strength measure up there?

"You could probably crush their so-called 'Sages' with a flick of your wrist," Odin said, sounding slightly uncertain.

"But you can't go as you are. Your magic is too potent. That world can't contain your power. You'll have to go another way."

"Another way?" Noah scratched his head.

"How else can I go?"

"Doesn't Kamar-Taj have a method for soul projection? Just bring some of your magic along. If you hit a fatal crisis, let that magic explode. It's simple."

"..."

Are you encouraging me to do a soul-possession transmigration?

Big Boss Odin, you're way too trendy.

Still, Odin's words gave Noah a lot to think about.

He just wasn't sure where the limit of that universe lay.

In Noah's mind, going to that world in an incomplete state required extreme caution.

One slip-up and he might end up brain-dead, which was definitely not on his agenda.

It seemed he needed to sleep on it.

Even if he wanted to help Odin, he wasn't about to gamble his life.

Noah and Odin chatted for a while, but soon the conversation stalled.

They both realized their topics were hitting a strange note.

A man as shrewd as Odin could sense Noah's reservations.

It made Odin both annoyed and amused, but he didn't mind. He had ways to get Noah to take a look.

"Alright, enough of that. You'll decide later," Odin switched gears.

"So, what's your plan this time? Are you in a rush to find a new universe?"

"Yes, I'm in a bit of a hurry," Noah nodded.

"I don't even dare to meditate right now, fearing I'll lose control of myself."

"I'll find a suitable universe for you as soon as possible," Odin sighed.

"You know these things take time, but given your state, you might have to take a risk."

"Well..." Noah wanted to say there was no rush, but seeing Odin's determined expression, he kept quiet.

"Understood, Your Majesty. Thank you for the help."

Noah wondered if he should go back and ask his teacher for help.

He felt His Majesty Odin was becoming a bit unreliable.

But since Odin had made the promise, Noah figured it was best not to disrespect him.

"By the way, get ready. This time, you'll go with Fat- ahem, my son from the other universe," Odin nearly let an insult slip but corrected himself immediately.

It was clear he wasn't happy with that Thor's physique.

"Fat Thor?" Noah said with a smirk, having no such reservations.

"Understood. He has experience in his own universe. He'll be a great help. And my presence will be a safeguard. I'll get it done, even if I'm not sure about the timing."

"Good." Odin nodded, looking at Noah seriously.

"Prepare to depart. But remember to be careful. That place is not as simple as it looks."

"I understand." Noah's expression turned solemn.

"I'll be careful."

Noah knew it wasn't a simple place.

That Thor hadn't been weak, yet he had been turned into a slave by a tiny controller.

The number of slaves there was massive, all used as fodder for the arena.

If the place lacked strength, it couldn't have operated that way.

The technology was high, but the combat power was uncertain.

At least in the movies, the Grandmaster didn't seem like much.

He was comic relief, the brother of the Collector, and likely mediocre in strength.

Which was good news.

If it were the one from the comics, Noah wouldn't even go.

That would be an entity above the eleventh tier.

In the comics, he was a member of the Elders of the Universe, a highly intelligent race that appeared shortly after the Big Bang.

He ran the arena on Sakaar purely out of boredom from living too long and a passion for gambling.

Noah recalled the description.

Near-infinite life.

Immune to aging and disease.

Impervious to physical attacks.

Powerful regenerative abilities.

He could convert cosmic energy into levitation, energy projection, telepathy, matter reorganization, and space-time jumping.

He could even resurrect the dead if they had been gone for less than thirty hours.

This thing was a literal god.

Even described simply, every single ability was terrifying.

Noah shook his head.

Against such a monster, even using the Space Stone to flee might be impossible.

Fortunately, this world leaned toward the cinematic version.

Meaning Noah didn't have to worry about meeting that absolute freak.

Besides, the Valkyrie didn't seem to run off to Sakaar in the comics.

Noah couldn't remember for sure, but he trusted Odin wouldn't set him up like that.

Walking out, Noah saw Fat Thor sitting by the road with a helpless face.

Clearly, he had been chewed out pretty badly.

He looked listless and only gave a sheepish smile when he saw Noah approaching.

"What's wrong, Thor?" Noah sat down beside him.

"Not adjusting well? You look like you just lost your true love."

"Hey, I like that phrasing." Fat Thor smiled weakly, then complained bitterly.

"I can't eat meat to my heart's content, and I can't drink. Those damn doctors say my cholesterol is too high. Damn it, this is all Divine Power!"

"Is it cheese sauce or cream sauce?" Noah poked his large belly.

"Maybe if I roast you with magic, I'll smell a natural aroma. Let's see... besides roasted meat, there should be the scent of fine wine and various messy toppings, right?"

"Hey, hey, hey!" Fat Thor looked at Noah warily and instinctively put some distance between them.

"I'm not a roast pig! Dammit, I'm an Aesir, not food, man! And your Earth is long past the age of cannibalism. Too barbaric."

Hearing this idiot, Noah nearly rolled his eyes.

For some reason, he suddenly felt like punching the guy.

But he held back. Clearly, the oaf was joking.

"Get ready. We're moving out," Noah said directly.

"Moving out?" Fat Thor asked, surprised.

"To where?"

"You know where. Planet Sakaar."

"Oh! You're helping us find Valkyrie? Awesome! She's a firecracker, you'll love her. And she's tough!"

"But no drinking. Got it?"

"Dammit! You can't do this to me!"
