Thor couldn't argue with Noah.
Before they left, Frigga had specifically pulled Noah aside and told him that under no circumstances was Thor allowed to drink, and that his diet had to be strictly controlled.
Noah, of course, had agreed without hesitation.
Seeing Fat Thor's miserable expression made Noah feel oddly refreshed.
While being fat made him easy to distinguish from the Thor of this universe, being that fat was never a good thing.
Fat Thor knew he couldn't keep going like this, but he was content to remain that way, because it allowed him to linger here and savor emotions he had long since lost.
"You really don't need to do this," Noah whispered as they sat in the ship, waving goodbye to Thor, Loki, and the royal couple on the ground.
"Huh?" Fat Thor blinked, then quickly smiled.
"What are you talking about, man?"
"You know exactly what I'm saying," Noah replied, ignoring the act.
He continued calmly, "Even if you fully recover, they'll still accept you. You're their child. That doesn't change just because the universe is different. The same blood flows in your veins. You're an Odinson, you know?"
For once, Fat Thor fell silent.
Seeing this, Noah didn't push further. He simply patted his shoulder.
Thor was an Odinson. That was an undeniable fact.
His lineage resonated with Odin and with the Thor of this world.
Odin and Frigga wouldn't treat him differently just because he came from another universe, nor were they acting out of pity.
It was love from the heart, and that would never change.
Of course, this was something Fat Thor had to realize on his own.
He was stuck in a mental rut.
Noah could only give a nudge. The rest was up to him.
Soon, Noah noticed a faint smile appear on the big man's face.
Either he'd understood, or Noah had worried for nothing and the guy was simply heartless.
"Thank you, Noah," Fat Thor said suddenly.
"I get it. I know what you mean. Don't worry. I know what to do."
"Good." Noah shrugged. "Consider it a small favor for my friend Thor in this universe."
"I'd hate to see someone who looks and fights exactly like him turn into a lazy bum. I'd hate to find his wine-soaked corpse in some ditch on Earth or in Asgard one day."
"To hell with you. Asgard doesn't have ditches," Fat Thor laughed.
"And I don't think I could die from drinking. My constitution can handle that junk."
"Let's hope so." Noah shrugged again.
"Alright, stop talking and focus on flying this ship. If I knew the way, I wouldn't be sitting in this slow, boring piece of junk."
Noah genuinely hated spaceships.
They'd been novel at first, but as his power grew, his interest faded fast.
For a Kamar-Taj sorcerer-especially one of his level, holding the Space Stone-this ship was a waste of time.
If he knew where Sakaar was, or if it weren't likely outside the Milky Way, he would've teleported there directly.
The journey was tedious, but Fat Thor was a talker.
They discussed many things, including his past experiences on Sakaar and the records he'd checked regarding the surrounding region.
He'd even dug up some interesting details.
"I checked my grandfather's records," Fat Thor said, munching on a piece of cake. "They mentioned that the former King of the Dwarves once went near Sakaar."
"He didn't dare wander around again after coming back, but he brought back some interesting materials. Uh... what was it called... Mithril! Yeah, that's it!"
"Mithril?" Noah froze, immediately setting down his food and raising his ring.
"Look. Is it this?"
"Huh?" Fat Thor blinked, then stared in surprise.
"Whoa. Mithril? That old man gave it to you? Wait, it was Eitri, right? I can't believe he handed that over!"
"Forget that. Let's confirm something." After Thor confirmed it, Noah's temper flared.
"When we're done here, we're checking that area. I really want to see if there's a wizard or sorcerer named Gandalf over there."
At that moment, Noah was genuinely annoyed.
He didn't even pause to think about why another planet in a parallel universe would have the same thing.
And even if he had, he wouldn't have cared.
This universe was already similar enough to the other one, just with him added in.
Just because the original story didn't mention it didn't mean it never happened.
Now Noah wanted to find that white-bearded old man and see what he was really up to.
Clearly a sorcerer, yet he insisted on acting like a warrior.
That wasn't what Noah expected.
And because of that old man's influence, Noah had taken plenty of beatings during his magic training.
Naturally, he dumped all that resentment onto Gandalf.
It was that old geezer's fault he'd been so unlucky.
Of course, if the Maiar's strength really was terrifying, Noah figured he'd better be polite.
Apologizing. Helping him. Well, maybe not helping-but at least not provoking him.
All of that, however, depended on Noah finishing this mission first.
Valkyrie wasn't easy to deal with.
Neither was Sakaar.
The mission would have its trouble, but only a "share" of it.
Noah was a Ninth-Tier sorcerer.
Fat Thor, though not fully recovered, was still a Ninth-Tier super-soldier with a Tenth-Tier foundation.
If the two of them went on a rampage on Sakaar, no one there could stop them.
The key point was that Noah had no intention of asking Valkyrie nicely.
The plan was simple.
First, Fat Thor would talk to her.
If that failed, Noah would talk.
If that still failed, then sorry-he'd take her back by unconventional means.
As for what those means were... maybe just tying her up with a rope.
Noah didn't mind using special tactics.
It might irritate Fat Thor, but the big guy wouldn't say much.
In Noah's view, an Asgardian returning to Asgard was perfectly normal.
The methods might be extreme, but as long as she wasn't hurt, Fat Thor wouldn't object.
After a long, dull flight, they finally reached a wormhole at the edge of the galaxy.
It was one of the largest transition points in the Milky Way.
Passing through it would take them out of the galaxy and into an unknown universe.
Fortunately, Thor knew the coordinates from his previous visit, so Noah wasn't worried about getting lost.
Even if they did, teleporting home was always an option.
Still, Noah sensed an enormous spatial power here.
Chaotic. Disordered. Dangerous.
Maybe this is what the boundary of the universe looks like, he thought, staring into the distance.
He didn't know how wide the boundary was, only that it was unimaginably vast.
Everywhere his consciousness reached was filled with chaotic spatial energy and twisted time.
It wasn't a place just anyone could enter.
Noah was certain that even if he transformed into a dragon and charged in, he'd be shredded instantly.
This place was a meat grinder.
Perhaps only an Eleventh-Tier being could pass through safely.
Thinking about how Eleventh-Tier existences could easily cross parallel universe barriers, it felt almost natural.
Only those who had surpassed divinity's transformation could be called higher life forms.
"What are you thinking about, Noah?" Fat Thor asked as Noah stared blankly at the endless chaos.
"We're about to cross. Get ready. It might get bumpy. Crossing universes is unstable."
"I know." Noah nodded.
"I just didn't expect the boundary of the universe to look like this. The scale is staggering."
"Of course it is." Fat Thor sighed. "I rarely leave the galaxy."
"Every time I see this void-like place, it scares me. Hard to imagine, right? But it's true. We're all too small in front of it."
"Yeah," Noah said quietly. "We're too small."
He stared into the infinite chaos in silence.
As the ship approached the transition point, Noah finally spoke again.
"In that case, let's work hard."
"We may be small."
"But that doesn't mean we can't conquer it."
