Chapter 137 - Magazine Shoot

She waved it through the air, disinfecting the foyer with a sharp, refreshing mist before inviting him inside.

Sean entered tentatively, his face still twisted as he struggled to find a pocket of fresh air. He was helpless to leave; he wouldn't dream of missing a single second with her even though he knew his feelings were forbidden.

"I'm sorry for the inconvenience," she said softly. "If you can't wait in here, you can head out to the balcony."

"No, it's fine. I'll manage," Sean muttered, inhaling the strange, floral-chemically mix of the air.

"Let me shower. I'll be right back." She dashed toward her room, not sparing a single glance for Zane, who had been watching the entire exchange in silence.

Zane's gaze dropped to her left leg. He noticed a slight limp, his brows knitting in immediate concern.

She wasn't limping earlier. Was she injured? His eyes followed her until she vanished into her room, then snapped toward the guest.
