"Hiroshi, are you finally done? You sure took your sweet time this time! I remember last time you were so fast when you took a bath. Who knew washing your face and brushing teeth would take so long?" Harumiko said with a playful smile as she saw him walk out.
Hiroshi scratched his head slightly embarrassed and said, "Well, taking a shower is quick, but I'm actually very particular about my teeth. I always spend several minutes brushing them properly, that's why they stay so white and healthy!"
"Oh, I see! That's actually really good. It's great to have such good habits. I take care of my teeth too, but I don't spend quite as much time on it. Usually, I just brush quickly for two or three minutes," Harumiko replied with a smile.
"It's better to brush thoroughly every day. That way your teeth stay strong and you won't get cavities. Saving yourself from toothaches later also saves a lot of money and trouble!" Hiroshi said softly.
Harumiko nodded happily, then her cheeks turned slightly red as she whispered, "Since you're done, come and lie down quickly. I really want to hear stories about your original world. Will you tell me tonight?"
Hiroshi looked surprised on the outside, but he was overjoyed on the inside. He walked slowly to the bed, took off his shoes, and climbed in.
"Alright, if you want to hear it then I'll tell you. Even though I only lived there for less than twenty years, I experienced and saw so many things!" Hiroshi said, sitting up slightly and smiling at her.
Harumiko immediately perked up, sitting up straight as well, looking at him with full attention, ready to listen to every word.
"Actually, my old world was quite advanced and nice in many ways, but... people's hearts were a bit different. There was this unwritten rule there: people always liked to bully those who were weaker than them. But if they met someone stronger, they would become cowards and wouldn't dare to say a word. I guess that was the law of that world – bully the weak and fear the strong."
"Actually, when I first came to the world of Naruto, I realised it was somewhat similar here. Strength is everything, and the powerful ones are respected. And just like back then, when I first arrived and was still a child and very weak, I was bullied by others every single day too," Hiroshi said softly.
Harumiko frowned slightly hearing this. She knew this kind of thing happened in the Leaf Village too, but because of her powerful family background and her own strength, no one ever dared to bully her. And she was kind by nature, she never picked on those weaker than herself nor provoked those stronger than her.
"But eventually, I couldn't take it anymore. One day when they were picking on me again, I suddenly fought back. That's when I realised – the reason they bully you is simply because they think you won't resist. After that day, they never dared to trouble me again. And ever since then, I trained harder than anyone else, determined to become strong so that no one could ever look down on me again!" Hiroshi said with a sigh, but then smiled at her.
He shifted his position comfortably and continued telling her about his past life.
"There were so many amazing and interesting things in that world, and technology was very advanced. Things like 'phones' and 'computers'... you don't have any of those here. At first, it was really hard getting used to not having them, but after a few years, I adapted," Hiroshi explained with a smile.
"Hiroshi, what is a 'phone' exactly?" Harumiko asked, looking at him with big, curious eyes.
Hiroshi turned to look at her and explained gently, "It's basically a communication device. Imagine you are here, and I am somewhere very far away, maybe even thousands of miles apart. But with this thing called a phone, we can still hear each other's voices and talk just like we are talking now! It's an incredibly convenient tool."
Harumiko looked absolutely shocked. She had never imagined such a thing could exist in another world. It sounded like magic to her!
"Wow! I can't believe your world had such incredible things. That sounds amazing! I guess the Leaf Village is still quite backward compared to that. But I believe that one day, our village will develop and have things like that too!" Harumiko said enthusiastically, looking forward with hope in her eyes.
