Chapter 11 - Hunters' Association

Author's Note:

This story will continue to be written by me, and I will not let artificial intelligence complete it (I use it only to translate into English). Most current novels are written by AI due to certain restrictions placed on writers, making it extremely difficult for them to write, so they turn to AI. On the other hand, there are writers who have many books and continue releasing chapters almost daily, and we all know how that writer does it. So I am writing this note to clarify that I will not use AI to complete my story; I will only use it for translation, as I mentioned in the first chapter of this novel. Thank you all.

Present Time

Mohin woke up to the sound of birds near his window and said, "Is it already morning? I couldn't sleep well last night because of the room next to mine. I kept hearing a banging sound coming from there."

He left his room and continued to himself, "Was he doing plumbing at that late hour or what?"

A woman came out of the room next to his at the same time. Mohin thought to himself, "I'm sure I heard a man's voice."

Mohin went down to the first floor, where Mr. Beer greeted him with a smile, saying, "Good morning, Mohin. How was your first night at Tara Inn?"

Mohin smiled and replied without hurting his feelings, "It was lovely. Thank you for your hospitality."

"I'm glad you liked it."

"Mr. Beer, do you have any recommendations for a good place to have breakfast?"

"When you exit the inn and head to the right, you'll find many restaurants. The one I recommend is called Family Restaurant. It's a very nice place. But Mohin, won't you have breakfast here?"

"Do you offer breakfast service here?"

"Of course we do. Mr. Rail booked a room for you with complimentary breakfast and dinner for a full month."

Mohin tilted his head back, imagining Mr. Rail, and said to himself, "I love you, Mr. Rail."

After Breakfast

"Alright, Mr. Beer, goodbye, and thank you for the breakfast."

"You're welcome, and good luck with the test."

Mohin left the inn and saw the city bustling with life, unlike the empty streets he had seen at midnight.

He set off toward the Hunters' Association, which Zain had directed him to. On his way there, Mohin turned his head frequently, observing what people were doing around him, and thought to himself, "Their lives aren't much different from ours. They're just more numerous, and this is for commoners. I wonder about the nobles. Are they like us? Or different?"

He spotted a small, two-story building, painted white with blue roofs, with an elegant character. He quickly realized this was the Hunters' Association.

Mohin approached the building's door, which was made of sturdy wood reinforced with iron, adding to its aesthetic appeal.

He entered and found himself in a large hall divided into three sections. The section on the right was marked for quests and selling loot. The section directly ahead upon entering was for license collection and other matters. The section on the left was for registration to become a hunter and for re-registration.

The hall was half-full. Most people were at the right section, while the registration section was also quite crowded, though not as much as the quests section.

Mohin went to the registration section and saw three staff members, each with their own queue. The person on the right was a good-looking woman, which seemed to be the reason most men were in her queue. The person in the middle was a fit-looking man, and he also had many people waiting. As for the one on the left, she was a woman in her forties, and her queue was half as long as the other two.

Mohin joined the queue for the older woman and waited until his turn came.

In a gentle voice, she said, "Welcome, young sir. How may I help you?"

He replied, "Hello. I've come to register as a hunter."

"What is your name?"

"Mohin."

"Just Mohin?"

"Yes."

"Have you been a hunter before? Or is this your first time?"

"It's my first time."

"Alright. May I see your ID?"

"Of course."

After verifying his name and that he was of the required age, she replied, "I've checked everything. Go to that hallway, wait in the waiting room, and I'll come to you shortly." She pointed with her finger toward the hallway.

Mohin asked her, lowering his voice in confusion, "Ma'am, why doesn't anyone come to register with you? Everyone goes to the other two, but only a few come to you."

She smiled and replied, "To be honest, I don't mind this situation. But if you want to know, there's a rumor about me."

"A rumor?"

"Yes. Many hunters who registered with me received low ranks, and instead of accepting the truth, they blamed me, saying I don't know how to use the magic measurement device. You'll register with me shortly, and you'll see that even a child could do this job because it's so simple."

"Thank you, miss."

"You're welcome."

Mohin went to the hallway she had indicated. He arrived at another hall containing four separate rooms for registration. There were waiting chairs with a few people already there, so Mohin sat down on one of the seats.
