The Past: When Mohin was young
In a gentle voice, she said, "I found you, Mohin."
Mohin replied, "What a shame. How did you find me so quickly, Noon?"
"I was sure you would hide behind the orphanage. You always do that."
"Alright then. It seems it's my turn to search. Go and hide, Noon. I'll count to ten."
"Find me if you can, red-haired boy."
"What's wrong with my hair color?"
"Nothing."
"Ten, nine, eight..."
"Wait, why did you start counting already? I wasn't ready."
"Seven, six..."
Noon said angrily, "You cheater." She went off to find a suitable hiding place while Mohin continued counting.
"Three, two, one. I'm coming."
Mohin searched around the orphanage for Noon but couldn't find her, so he decided to look for her around the village, even though they had agreed not to hide far from the orphanage. So Mohin assumed Noon had broken the rule since he couldn't find her.
In the middle of his search, he suddenly felt a pain in his head, but he continued searching. The pain in his head intensified, and Mohin began clutching his head with both hands. He decided to return to the orphanage, but he was moving without realizing where he was going because of the pain.
The pain lessened slightly, allowing Mohin to become aware of his surroundings. He was surrounded by many trees, so he realized he had left the village, but he wondered how he could have gotten out without anyone noticing him.
(The sound of rustling grass)
Mohin turned toward the sound and saw a figure there, but it was not human. It had no features. It had no footsteps. It had no shadow.
His heart began to race out of intense fear. Terrified and anxious, he said, "Who ar—" He couldn't finish his sentence. He suddenly lost consciousness.
---
Hours later
"Mohin! Mohin, where are you!"
Mohin opened his eyes to the sound of Lord Rail and the villagers calling out. He was lying on the ground, unable to move his body. Their calls continued, but Mohin could not speak.
"Mohin!"
"Mohin!"

Present Time
The Outsider repeated, "Mohin, you bastard, snap out of it. What are you thinking about?"
Mohin returned to the present after being immersed in past memories.
The Outsider continued, "Why aren't you answering me?"
"Shut up, Outsider. You have nothing to do with me," Mohin replied.
---
After a few moments, a woman in her twenties came and said, "Applicant number 7842A08, named Mohin, please proceed to room number three to begin the test."
Mohin went to the test room and opened the door. The room was somewhat small, with a pillar (radius 30 cm) in the center of the room, its height half the length of the room's wall, which was no more than three meters.
The woman spoke, "Welcome, Mr. Mohin. I am Lana Anar. I will be responsible for your test today instead of Miss Loren."
Mohin replied, "Miss Loren? Is she the lady at the registration desk?"
"Yes. The reason is that the head of the association rearranged some matters among the staff earlier. So... are you ready?"
"Of course, I am ready."
"Alright. This test measures your talent along with the classification of your skills, to give you a suitable rank. Do not fear, because your skills and talent do not appear to us, only their rank. All you have to do now is make a small cut on one of your fingers so that blood appears. We can use magic to cut you, and it will not leave a mark on your finger."
Lana held Mohin's hand and moved her finger slightly in a circular motion. A small, nearly transparent blade appeared at the tip of her finger, and she scratched Mohin's finger. Some blood came out of the scratch, flowing down to his palm. The blade disappeared, and she covered the scratch with her thumb. After a few seconds, she removed her thumb, and the scratch had vanished without a trace. Mohin was stunned.
Lana asked, "Is this your first time seeing this kind of magic, Mr. Mohin?"
"Not entirely. My sister knows a little water magic. But this is the first time I have seen this type of magic that you used."
"You will get used to it often in the future. Now, place your palm with the blood on the pillar in the center to complete the rank determination. But the test will not end after the rank determination."
"Understood."
Mohin placed his palm on the top surface of the pillar and waited. But nothing happened.
The Outsider said, "As I expected."
Mohin asked Lana, "Miss Lana, is something supposed to happen?"
"I... I don't... know What is happening? A color should appear, which determines the rank suitable for you."
Lana summoned Miss Loren. Loren said, "Mohin, place your hand again."
Mohin placed his hand again, but nothing happened.
Lana said to Miss Loren, "Could he possibly be S-Rank?"
Loren replied, "No. If he were S-Rank, a black color would have appeared, indicating the device's failure to recognize it. But the situation here is different. No color appeared at all. This is happening again."
Mohin asked, "Happening again?"
"Mohin, you are the fourth person to whom this has happened, so do not worry. The head of the association has prepared a different test because this has already occurred several times."
---
Loren took Mohin to another room, which was a training room with a fighting area. She said to him, "Wait a moment, Mohin, until your test instructor arrives."
Mohin asked The Outsider, "I am the fourth? Who were the three before me? Did they also suffer from not being able to know their talent?"
The Outsider replied, "I do not know the unseen. But there is a possibility that Brom is one of them, since I could not see his talent."
Mohin's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a man's irritated voice speaking loudly: "Another one? Do they come every few years or what? The first one was that bastard named Faiz, then the two bastards Brom and Lam, and now another villager? I do not know why you give these villagers a chance."
He entered the room and continued, "It is clear they have no talent since the device did not measure it."
He stepped into the fighting area and said, "So you are the villager, hmm? What is with your hair? Well, regardless, I am Hert Diaki. I will be your examiner. So fight me with everything you have."
"I am Mohin. Nice to meet you."
"Let us begin. I do not have much time. If you want a weapon, take one from the training weapons hanging over there."
"Thank you, but I use my fists."
"Oh, that is new. Perhaps you will be a little entertaining, so I will not use my weapon either. I will use my fists as well. So, you start."
Lana said, "Three..."
"Two..."
"One..."
(Beast Speed) Mohin approached Hert very quickly. Hert smiled and said to himself, "Fast. He is fast." Mohin raised his fist to punch Hert, and Hert responded quickly to Mohin's punch, using his hand to block it. But (Beast Strength) was no ordinary punch.
Mohin's punch pushed Hert backward with such force that he collided with the wall. All the association members watching were stunned, and even Mohin was amazed at himself.
Hert said, spitting some blood from his mouth, "You bastard. That actually hurt a little."
Hert used the wall behind him to launch himself forcefully toward Mohin. Mohin was slow to react and raised his arms to protect his head for no apparent reason. Hert punched Mohin's stomach hard, and the momentum added to the force of the blow, pushing him backward.
Mohin felt intense pain in his stomach and lost his breath for a moment. He said to himself, "My stomach. That punch... it really hurts. I need to gather myself—"
Hert lunged toward Mohin again and began punching him with multiple blows at a furious speed, leaving Mohin only able to defend. Mohin's defense broke, and Hert continued his assault.
Mohin endured powerful punches until blood came from his nose and several cuts appeared on his face.
Lana said to Loren fearfully, "Should we not stop Hert? At this rate, Mohin will die."
Loren replied, "Hert would never do that. If you want to stop the fight, go ahead, but I do not think that is possible. We will just wait for the time to run out."
The Outsider said to Mohin, "Focus, Mohin. I cannot interfere in this fight, or someone might suspect my existence. So win on your own. Do you hear me?"
Mohin said to himself, in pain, "What? What is that bastard saying? I... I am being beaten so badly that fighting back is no longer useful. I am starting to lose consciousness. I cannot see with my left eye. Has it lost consciousness too?"
Hert continued punching and said to himself, "I thought this would be fun. Wait a moment. The spark in his left eye is gone. Is he about to lose consciousness? It seems this will end soon."
Hert looked at Mohin's hair and said, "Was his hair always this dark?"
The Outsider realized quickly and shouted to Mohin, "Mohiiiiin! Do not lose consciousness! Not now! If you do, you will hurt those around you."
The darkness of Mohin's hair deepened, and his hands dropped to his sides as he stood still. Hert continued punching, but his punches seemed to have no effect. Hert increased the force of his blows, but Mohin did not move a single step.
Mohin grabbed Hert's hand and stopped his punching sequence. Hert said to himself, "This is impossible! How did he suddenly become so strong?"
Mohin pulled his fist back, preparing to punch Hert. Hert tried to escape Mohin's grip but could not. Mohin moved his fist with incredible speed. In that fraction of a second, Hert said, "This is dangerous. I must not be hit by that punch."
The Outsider shouted, "Mohiiiiin! Wake up! You will destroy your dream like this!"
Hert said to himself, "His eyes are not shining. He is not conscious."
In that moment, Mohin's soul responded to The Outsider's call, and he stopped his punch. Hert said, "What just happened? His fist stopped right in front of me."
Mohin collapsed to the ground.
Hert said, "Take him to the healer, quickly."
---
(After a few minutes)
Loren said to Hert, "So, what is the evaluation?"
Hert said, "His name is Mohin, correct? Speed: C-Rank."
"Endurance: B-Rank."
"Strength: A-Rank."
"His overall rank is B."
Loren replied, "Understood, Mr. Hert. We will record his rank."
