It wasn't just Zack and Ben who felt this way.
Any player who entered the game "Human: Fall Flat" right away had this feeling.
When they first saw the game store description, most players' first impression was dislike.
After all, the game looked really bad. A squishy little character with no body parts and a noodle-like body, and very silly movements. How fun could it be?
But after entering the game, especially in multiplayer, many players found that the game was actually quite interesting.
Especially with the silly content, it made the whole game process full of joy.
And the game itself wasn't a rip-off at all, because although it looked like one level after another, each level actually had several stages within it.
This meant one thing: if one player went to the next area, the progress would be saved. The other players could then choose to jump off a cliff and, after falling from the sky, respawn at the farthest saved progress point of another player.
Also, if one player finished the level, all players were considered to have finished it.
This also made progressing in a team much easier.
For example, in the current level that Zack and his friends were playing, if it were a single-player game, one person would need to place a box on a black button switch.
But in multiplayer mode, that wasn't necessary at all. One person could stand on the switch while the rest of the teammates cleared the level.
Of course, this was the ideal situation. More often, they would prank each other.
"You guys go in first. Once you trigger the save point, I'll just kill myself." Zack's eyes lit up as he looked at the switch-activated elevator door, having thought of something.
"That's a good idea, Zack! The organization will remember your sacrifice!" Hearing Zack's words, Ben next to him was impressed and immediately wanted to rush forward.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Ben, what are you doing? Ladies first, right? Would you, a grown man, be okay with going first?" Zack quickly stopped Ben when he saw him rushing to the front.
"Alright." Ben didn't suspect anything and stepped aside.
Hannah and Joey, walking in the front, went through, followed by Wells, and finally Ben.
Looking at Zack still standing on the button, Ben controlled his character to wave his squishy hand in the air and said, "Zack, I'm going ahead! I'll step on the button next time."
"Stop with the nonsense, hurry up!" Zack pretended to be impatient.
"Heh heh!" Ben chuckled slyly and controlled his character towards the automatic door.
He hummed a little tune as he walked, looking quite happy.
In the game, the characters walked wobbly, and their speed wasn't very fast.
But compared to the walking speed of the characters, the automatic doors opened and closed much faster.
So, the moment Ben's midsection was through the door, his reflexes, honed by parries, gun parries, and critical cuts in games like "Dark Souls," "Bloodborne," and "Monster Hunter: World," came into play.
Zack timed the door closing perfectly, and with the rubber-like characters in the game, who walked as if boneless and often tilted their upper bodies forward.
So, just as Ben's upper body passed through the automatic door, the door closed shut.
At this moment, Ben's upper body was on Hannah's side, while his lower body, his butt, was firmly caught in the door, with his legs on Zack's side.
"What the hell! Zack, you bastard!" Ben was shocked to see himself trapped.
He now understood that Zack had planned this all along!
The "ladies first" was just an excuse to get him stuck inside!
"Hah hah hah hah..." Zack's gloating laughter echoed through the voice chat.
"You son of a bitch, Zack, let me out!" Ben manipulated his hands, trying to pull himself out of the automatic door, but it was in vain.
"What if I say no?" Zack's voice in the chat was almost breathless from laughing.
"You wouldn't dare," Ben said, still struggling frantically.
"Alright, I'll let you out," Zack laughed, returned to the switch, and opened the door.
With the automatic door released, Ben was finally freed from his predicament.
However, instead of continuing to clear the level, he turned and ran towards Zack.
"I'll let you close the door!" Ben, controlling his wobbly character, rushed to Zack's side.
The two characters embraced and wrestled like a clumsy dance, then fell off the cliff together, descending from the sky to Hannah's group's save point.
But their fight wasn't over. Ben got up first, while Zack was still lying on the ground.
Ben then grabbed Zack's leg and ran towards the cliff, intending to throw him off.
Zack, meanwhile, gripped the ground tightly with his hands.
"Let go! Ben, I was wrong!"
"No, we're not done today!"
"Will you let go if I say sorry?"
"If saying sorry worked, would the police be useful?"
"Then can I say I'm sorry?"
"What's the difference between that and sorry?"
"I'm speaking Mandarin!"
Watching Zack and Ben in the game, the three people watching around them burst into laughter.
The scene was incredibly comical.
Even the most normal actions looked incredibly stupid when performed by the characters in the game.
And the players in the game, like Zack and Ben, seemed to have a "silly buff," enjoying it immensely.
At this point, neither Zack nor Ben had any desire to clear the level. What was the point of clearing it?
Controlling their rubber-like characters to pick each other up and throw each other off the cliff – wasn't that more fun than clearing the level?
"Let's ignore these two goofballs and the three of us will continue clearing the level," Hannah said, still laughing uncontrollably as she watched Zack and Ben fight like two clowns.
What kind of team was this for clearing levels? They were already fighting on the second level.
Looking at this team, Hannah felt that she might not see the final level of this game.
