Cyrus stares at me dumbfounded.
The worry that was etched on to his face was gone, replaced by an extremely bewildered look.
And then slowly, his cheeks turn pink, and it eventually spreads to his ear. He blinks and shakes his head in disbelief before he stares at me again.
"Wh…at?" He stutters, his voice a bit higher than usual.
I resist a laugh. "I love you, Cyrus Grayson. I'm in love with you."
He closes his eyes as if he were in pain, wraps his arms around me and lays his forehead on my shoulder, bending his neck.
"You can't say that after I had the biggest scare of my life. You're bleeding from your arm for God's sake." He whines dramatically, his shoulders rolling.
"So you don't want to hear it?" I tease him, clutching the hem of his jacket.
"No, that's not what I meant!! I do want to hear it. Can't you feel it?" He takes his head off my shoulder and places my hand on his chest, making me feel his erratic heartbeat.
