When they got into Ivan's room, Dallas looked around briefly, his expression completely neutral.
He didn't say anything as he walked further inside and sat down on the couch at the far end of the room, he pulled out his phone and began scrolling, his attention fixed on the screen as if Ivan wasn't there.
Ivan could tell that Dallas was upset with him, and more than that, he clearly didn't even want to talk to him. It felt like the only reason Dallas was in the room was to make it seem, to his father, like he was doing what had been asked of him.
Ivan told himself not to say anything either. His ego pushed him to stay silent and ignore Dallas the same way he was ignoring him. But despite that, the words slipped out before he could stop them.
