What was that?!
The question kept repeating in Dallas's head as he walked down the hallway, his heart still racing and his legs weaker than they had ever been, but no answer came.
He tried to make sense of it. Yes, he had admitted to himself that lately, he hadn't been helping Ivan only because of Axel anymore. Somewhere along the way, it had changed. He genuinely wanted to help Ivan.
He cared far more than he was supposed to. Ivan's problems affected him, and his opinions mattered enough to make him feel either good or terrible.
That part, at least, he could understand.
But this? Wanting to kiss Ivan? Wanting to be that close to him? Where had that come from?
He ran a hand through his hair, his breathing uneven as he turned into another hallway, trying to avoid the growing number of people filling the pack house.
Was it that subtle effect Ivan had on him, the one he had only recently started noticing, that caused all this?
