Two weeks had passed since the engagement party that Ivan couldn't escape, in the name of playing along with his father's game.
But after it, he completely refused any story to do with the wedding, saying that if they wouldn't let him at least reach twenty-five, then they should at least give him a whole year to adjust to the fact that he was about to become a married man.
It had turned into an argument that ended with them calling him a disrespectful child again, but Ivan didn't care what they called him. He had already agreed to the engagement, and they should have been thankful for that. The marriage itself, however, was something he had no intention of letting happen.
In the end, they let him be.
A week ago, his father had insisted that he start learning about ruling, saying that resuming college was not important because he already had a career waiting for him.
