Chapter 278 - Chapter 278 Target: Cen Lailor

With Neptulon surrendering without a fight, three of the four Elemental Lords were dealt with, leaving only the Earth Element.

The world-ending crisis created by Deathwing did not involve the Earth Element. So, apart from the chaotic elemental landscapes and the rebellious Water Elementals, this crisis was largely resolved.

Gale and Freya discussed the matter, and the Earth Element Realm would be handled by Ulduar, most likely by sending the Earth King Azadas to take care of it.

The Firelands were entrusted to Gale, who was preparing to forge the King's Blade for the Firelands.

However, before going to the Firelands, he needed to eliminate the hidden dangers within the Empire.

Cenarius returned from the north and was not surprised to see Gale arrive.

He and Malfurion already knew that Gale had, in effect, placed them under house arrest near Mount Hyjal. They were not reconciled to this and always wanted to extend their influence beyond Mount Hyjal.

When trouble broke out in Darkshore this time, they rushed to reinforce immediately, actually hoping to win over Etherix and extend their sphere of influence to Darkshore.

However, before Etherix could make a statement, Gale arrived.

Now that all three parties were together, they could have an open and frank discussion.

Etherix sat trembling between Gale and Malfurion; one side was powerful on its own, and the other had a Demigod backing it, neither of which he could afford to offend.

Gale: "After driving out the demons, the Empire had not focused its attention on the West Continent. After more than twenty years of development, the Empire has gained considerable strength. I plan to rebuild Auberdine, turning it into a port city, and then open a shipping route from Nordrassil to Auberdine."

"That's wonderful!" Etherix exclaimed, feigning surprise: "This way, we can return to the embrace of the Empire. The people of Amissaran have been looking forward to this day."

Malfurion said: "This disaster has destroyed the forests of Darkshore. I want to send Druids to restore the ecology here."

"Welcome, welcome." Etherix said: "It's great to have your help. If it were just us, I don't know how long it would take."

He offended no one and refused no one. You want to do something, then do it. You want to extend your influence, then extend it.

Gale and Malfurion exchanged glances. Although it seemed they were at loggerheads, both sides had left room for maneuver.

One was rebuilding a port, the other was restoring a forest; the two sides did not clash.

Gale did not object to Druids entering Darkshore. After all, Druids were also citizens of the Empire. His original regulations did not forbid Malfurion and his group from leaving Mount Hyjal, only that they were not allowed to prevent others from using Arcane after leaving.

Etherix was an Archmage, and a conservative one at that. Given Malfurion and his group's attitude towards Arcane, he would not side with Malfurion. And as long as he acknowledged being a subject of the Empire and did not make rebellious moves, Gale would not overly force him.

After all, Etherix was a problem left over from the "previous dynasty." Gale inherited the Kaldorei Empire, and he had to inherit the problems it left behind.

Gale didn't care what Malfurion thought.

Back then, Malfurion and he were not on the same level, and now the gap between them was growing wider. Bullying Malfurion was like bullying a child. If Cenarius had stepped forward, Gale might have been a little interested, but unfortunately, Cenarius did not come forward at all.

Etherix, being sensible, presented Gale with a magic map of Darkshore, which marked all the Kaldorei gathering points in Darkshore, as well as a former Elune Temple, though the temple had now sunk to the bottom of the sea.

Gale and Etherix agreed on a time for the construction of Auberdine, then summoned the Rainbow Bridge and sent Freya back to Ulduar.

Azadas had already returned to Ulduar at this time. Upon hearing about the Earth Element Realm, he immediately volunteered to go.

With Loken eliminated, Algalon was now in charge of Ulduar, which reignited his passion for work. He took Aironaya and gathered a large number of Earth Spirit, heading to the Earth Element Realm.

Upon arriving at the Earth Element Realm, they discovered that the Earth Element were repairing the World Pillar. Azadas immediately joined the work; as the Earth King, no one was more familiar with this task than him.

Gale returned to Nordrassil, summoned DathRemar, and appointed him as the commander of the new fleet to go to Auberdine to build the port.

DathRemar was overjoyed and departed to carry out his orders. He had been waiting for this opportunity for a long time and immediately gathered his trusted former subordinates: Sarona, Drashir, Tolvasa, and Richard Windrunner. The first three served as accompanying mages, and the latter became the new fleet's adjutant.

They had explored together in the past, capturing Storm Drake, and their friendship had lasted until now, finally coming to good use.

Also receiving an opportunity was Venas Morninglight. Gale ordered a cruiser for him to search for Cenarion Thicket. Cenarion Thicket is located in the The Barrens on the world of warcraft map, but Agamaggan had not died, so the The Barrens had not formed and was still a grassland.

Because of the increased Eastern Continent map plates, finding a suitable port for Cenarion Thicket was somewhat difficult. Therefore, he assigned this task to Venas, who was skilled in reconnaissance.

Venas was delighted upon receiving the mission and immediately assembled his adventure team members: the Lich Nate, the Protection Warrior Astra Silverblade, the Tauren Druid Bel Frosthoof, and the Hippogryph Knight Asari Silverwing, who was ordered to join the adventure team, forming the core team for the exploration mission.

"Set sail! Weigh anchor!"

Venas waved and shouted, full of momentum, with the air of a captain.

"Hahahaha--"

Everyone was infected by his enthusiasm and couldn't help but laugh. After many years of adventuring, they had fallen in love with exploring the unknown. In these years, they often traveled by ship to various places for adventures, having been to Redridge Mountain, Northrend, and the Eastern Continent. This time going to the West Continent, everything was unknown to them, and everything was new.

After a month of monotonous sailing, they finally arrived at the West Continent.

They searched the coast for a month before finding a suitable landing spot. They built a simple port, had the crew wait there, and embarked on the journey to find Cenarion Thicket.

Bel Frosthoof communicated with nature to confirm whether there were any evil forces nearby. Venas, as a scout, was vigilant for nearby beasts. Asari patrolled in the air, guarding the team. A three-in-one reconnaissance system ensured the safety of the entire adventure team.

This grassland was full of dangers, with wild beasts rampant and wolf packs everywhere. Not to mention staying overnight, even during the day they could encounter attacks from wild beasts.

Fortunately, ordinary beasts were no match for them, and when they encountered wolf packs, Bel Frosthoof would communicate with the wild to drive them away. In this way, they ventured deep into the grassland for a month, not seeing a single living person.

Just as they were despairing, they discovered a team of Tauren hunters.

However, these Tauren were a little different from Bel Frosthoof; they had bull horns.
