"Edward?"
Loki's tone was clearly unhappy.
"What do I care that you're going to see some Edward? Don't interrupt my rest with Ais-tan."
No wonder she was in a bad mood. She was with Ais.
Emiya curled his lips and spoke calmly. "This Edward has an ultimate magic book. The Key of Solomon. Aren't you interested?"
Loki froze for a second, then reacted immediately.
"The Key of Solomon? Right... there was something like that. Now that you mention it, I am a little interested."
Solomon was a legendary figure who had commanded seventy-two demons.
Even gods paid attention to someone like that.
If this ultimate magic book dared to use the name Key of Solomon, then it was definitely related to him.
Loki herself didn't need a magic book like that.
But her subordinates did.
The Loki Familia had many magicians.
She would be willing to act for Riveria alone.
If Riveria could decipher the secrets inside, her advancement would be guaranteed.
"Come pick me up, Emiya boy."
Emiya nodded and hung up.
Kimberly, who had heard the entire exchange, couldn't help but sigh.
"I only asked you to see the headmaster, and you're already setting your sights on him. I'm starting to regret this."
Emiya smiled. "What's the harm? He stole the book from the Golden Rose of the Rose Division. It doesn't belong to him anyway. Letting me take a look should be fine."
Kimberly rolled her eyes but didn't stop him.
"Do whatever you want."
Even if she wanted to stop him, she couldn't.
He had already called a goddess.
Emiya told Kimberly to wait.
He knocked Alisa out, then used his ability to travel to Orario.
An air portal opened, and he arrived at the Loki Familia's headquarters, Twilight Manor.
He went straight to Ais's room.
Loki was there.
She had said she was with Ais, so this was expected.
"You're here."
Loki was already dressed properly.
Ais, on the other hand, was wearing a beautiful nightgown.
Emiya's gaze drifted over unconsciously.
Compared to the heroic Ais he saw during the day, the current Ais looked different.
Not revealing, but filled with youthful vitality.
"Take this!"
Loki suddenly shouted.
Two fingers lunged straight for Emiya's eyes.
Emiya raised his right hand in time and blocked the attack.
"Why are you acting crazy all of a sudden?"
He had no doubt that if he hadn't blocked it, his eyes would have paid the price.
"You were looking at Ais-tan just now, Emiya boy."
Loki's killing intent flared. "Ais-tan is mine. I won't allow anyone to look at her. Not even you."
Emiya: "..."
He didn't bother arguing.
After giving Ais a nod, he immediately took Loki back to the Royal Academy of Machinart.
Loki still tried to cause trouble along the way, clearly intending to teach him a lesson.
"Enough. Stop messing around."
Emiya grabbed her hands.
"Business first."
Loki noticed Kimberly and paused.
In front of an outsider, she decided to give Emiya some face.
"Aren't you going to introduce me, Emiya boy?"
Emiya nodded.
"This is Kimberly. A professor of Machinart Physics at the Royal Academy. She provided the automaton magic information in the group. Kimberly, this is Loki, the goddess of mischief from Orario. Not the Norse one, but an alternate counterpart."
Kimberly bowed.
"It's an honor to meet you, Lady Loki."
Loki waved it off.
"No need to be formal. Kimberly, right? Interested in joining my Familia?"
She had read Unbreakable Machine-Doll.
She knew Kimberly was more than qualified.
Emiya stepped in immediately.
"Hey. Kimberly is my person. You can't just poach her."
Loki didn't feel the slightest embarrassment.
"Don't forget, Emiya boy. You're also part of my Familia. That makes you my person too. Your subordinates are my subordinates, aren't they?"
Emiya shot back at once. "Not necessarily. Under the Western feudal system, the vassal of my vassal isn't my vassal. You should know that better than I do."
Loki shrugged. "True. That applies in the West and in Orario. But if I remember correctly, Kimberly isn't yours yet, right?"
Kimberly knew she was being addressed.
She nodded. "Mr. Emiya did try to recruit me. I'm still considering it."
Loki clapped her hands.
"Then don't consider Emiya. Consider me instead. Join my Familia."
Kimberly understood what a Familia meant.
In the past, she would have accepted without hesitation.
Gods didn't offer patronage lightly.
But now, things were different.
Because she could see it clearly.
The one who could move freely between worlds wasn't the goddess.
It was Emiya.
"So..."
"I need to think about it carefully, Lady Loki."
Loki didn't push her.
"Fine. Take your time. Now, let's go see that headmaster."
Kimberly silently mourned the Royal Academy's strongest magician for a few seconds.
Then she spoke. "Please follow me, Mr. Emiya. Lady Loki."
About ten minutes later, under Kimberly's guidance, they finally met the man known as the strongest magician of the nineteenth century.
Edward Rutherford.
The headmaster matched his anime depiction.
Tall. Broad. A thick, elegant mustache.
He looked more like a warrior than a magician.
But Emiya could clearly sense it.
The mana inside him was vast.
Both in quantity and quality, it surpassed Emiya's.
The title wasn't exaggerated.
Edward recognized Kimberly immediately.
He didn't recognize Emiya or Loki.
His gaze moved between them, then paused on the unconscious automaton, Alisa, before settling on Kimberly.
"Professor Kimberly," he said, "aren't you going to explain why you've brought strangers to see me?"
Kimberly smiled helplessly.
"Let me introduce them, Headmaster Edward. This is Emiya. He is... my assistant."
Edward nodded slowly. "You did submit an assistant application a few days ago. And the other one?"
His eyes moved to Loki.
For some reason, the red-haired woman was staring at him with open malice.
What unsettled him more was the sense of threat.
A deep, instinctive danger.
Kimberly continued, "This is Lady Loki. She is a real goddess."
Edward froze.
"A goddess? You mean a divine automaton?"
"No. A real, genuine goddess."
"That's not a funny joke, Kimberly."
"I'm afraid it isn't a joke, Headmaster."
Panic rose inside him, but his face remained calm.
"Then what business does this goddess have with me?"
Loki laughed lightly.
"Nothing serious. I just want to see a magic book you own. The Key of Solomon. You'll show it to me, right?"
I refuse.
The words almost left his mouth.
Then a chilling premonition struck him.
If he said it, something terrible would happen.
Possibly death.
Edward swallowed the words instantly.
He nodded.
"Of course. It would be my honor, Lady Loki."
The sense of danger vanished.
Edward brought out the ultimate magic book he had guarded for decades.
The Key of Solomon.
To be honest, much of his current achievement came from it.
The book contained profound magical knowledge.
Even now, he couldn't claim to fully understand it.
That was why he returned to it again and again.
Loki took the book.
Using the simplest quantum fluctuation reading method, she absorbed its contents in a single second.
"As expected of the Key of Solomon."
"The ideas here are fresh. Enlightening."
She casually tossed the book to Emiya.
Emiya wasn't like her.
He could only read it page by page.
In his previous world, there had also been a book called the Key of Solomon.
In Jewish legends, King Solomon obtained the Book of Raziel from an angel and gained the ability to summon and command demon spirits.
The book recorded summoning rules and spells.
In reality, it was written by medieval sorcerers and had nothing to do with Solomon.
It even encouraged blood sacrifice and was labeled black magic.
But in this world-
The Key of Solomon truly was connected to Solomon himself.
