Chapter 366: Black Zetsu's Concern

"Not bad."

Li Yao's Obito clone was quite satisfied with the dual Kamui ability. Compared to a single Kamui Sharingan, wielding both eyes expanded the possibilities of spatial jutsu immensely.

Not only could he enhance existing techniques—for example, turning a basic B-rank Fire Release into an S-rank level of destructive power with Kamui's augmentation—he could also infuse spatial power into his blade to create dimensional slashes.

Earlier, he had done exactly that—channeling Kamui's space-warping power into his sword, slicing open the space in front of him. This cleaved the Tailed Beast Bomb's energy clean in half.

There was no denying it: space-based abilities were the pinnacle.

Even in the original story, the only thing that ever injured Kaguya Ōtsutsuki was Kakashi's Kamui-infused Lightning Cutter—nearly slicing her shoulder clean off.

That alone proved that, even at Six Paths level, spatial abilities remained peerless.

Only space could counter space.

"Perfect."

"With Kamui, my spatial chakra control is nearing completion. True mastery of space can't be far now."

Smiling inwardly, Li Yao's Obito clone looked up at the massive Eight-Tails.

"Enough playing around. It's time to collect you."

His relaxed expression filled both the Eight-Tails and Killer Bee with a suffocating pressure.

Not knowing what Li Yao's Mangekyō Sharingan power was, man and beast alike instinctively began retreating.

But they were too late.

With a thought, Obito's clone activated the dual Kamui. As he phased into Kamui space, he simultaneously reappeared above the Eight-Tails' enormous body.

Dual Kamui allowed for much faster spatial travel than a single eye. It could open two spatial nodes in real space simultaneously and link them directly to Kamui space.

This eliminated the need to pass through Kamui as a transit point. Instead, it enabled instant, direct travel between any two points.

Naturally, this made the ability much faster.

By the time Li Yao appeared above their heads, Killer Bee and the Eight-Tails finally realized—he was already upon them.

"Kamui!"

Li Yao's clone widened both eyes. The spatial power of Kamui surged.

In an instant, sixteen spiraling Kamui distortions erupted across the Eight-Tails' body.

"Aaahhh!!"

It felt like sixteen massive drills were boring into his flesh.

Chunks of meat were torn into blood mist under the sheer pressure of spatial twisting.

The overwhelming pain made both Killer Bee and the Eight-Tails howl in agony.

Splurt splurt splurt—

In seconds, sixteen massive holes were gouged into the Eight-Tails' body, with nothing but gushing blood left behind.

The massive trauma immediately forced the Eight-Tails out of Tailed Beast form, revealing Killer Bee's near-dead body.

Killer Bee had matching wounds across his own body.

That was the difference between a natural Tailed Beast and a Jinchūriki.

When a Jinchūriki enters full Tailed Beast mode, they effectively fuse with the beast—gaining its power but also inheriting the vulnerabilities of human flesh.

A natural Tailed Beast, made of chakra and flesh, could lose parts of its body and only suffer chakra depletion.

But a transformed Jinchūriki felt all the damage directly.

With just one spatial attack…

Killer Bee, the Eight-Tails Jinchūriki, was brought to his knees.

This terrifying power even shocked Black Zetsu, who had been observing from afar.

The strength of dual Kamui exceeded all his expectations.

Even Madara, without the Rinnegan, might not be a match for this Obito.

No, even with the Rinnegan…

Black Zetsu's eyes narrowed. Sixteen Kamui spirals simultaneously—that level of spatial control was uncounterable.

The Rinnegan could suppress all elemental jutsu—but not space.

Forget Madara—anyone hit by that wouldn't survive.

"Just what happened to Obito…?"

Black Zetsu felt a growing sense of unease. Obito was becoming harder and harder to control.

Thankfully, Madara had placed a binding curse on Obito's heart.

That thought gave Black Zetsu a bit of comfort.

But what he didn't know was that this wasn't the old Obito anymore.

After Obito became Li Yao's clone, the curse Madara had left was nullified—though Li Yao did install an identical one afterward. The control, however, was in Li Yao's hands.

Madara's resurrection? Never happening.

Edo Tensei was still a possibility, but resurrection through Obito was off the table.

"Let's go seal the Eight-Tails."

Li Yao's clone called to Black Zetsu, then entered Kamui space with Killer Bee in tow, heading for White Zetsu's base.

The next day.

Konoha.

Morning.

The sun was bright, the sky clear—a perfect day. Konoha's citizens went about their lives peacefully, enjoying the fine weather.

As the strongest of the Five Great Nations' villages, Konoha had never been invaded on a large scale by any other hidden village.

In a way, it was the most peaceful of the five.

The only true tragedy it had suffered was the Nine-Tails' attack over a decade ago—and that had been caused by their own people.

Truly, the saying "If the ninja world is chaotic, it's because Konoha says so" rang painfully true.

Ironically, Li Yao—now wreaking havoc across timelines—also hailed from Konoha in the original Naruto world.

Sometimes, fate was just funny like that.

Everyone who ever attacked Konoha… was once part of Konoha.

And so it was now.

The people of Konoha were content, blissfully unaware that disaster was about to strike.

After all, with such beautiful weather, who would expect catastrophe?

"Your first 'Child of Prophecy' is here."

Floating above Konoha in the interstitial space, Li Yao turned to Jiraiya and spoke.

"Where?" Jiraiya tensed, asking urgently.

"What's the rush?" Li Yao chuckled. "Not like you can stop it."

Jiraiya's heart sank. He turned toward this mysterious man who possessed not only baffling genjutsu but also powerful space-time techniques. He was far too strong.

Why had no one heard of someone like him before?

And why did he hold such deep hatred for Konoha?

Over the last few days, Jiraiya had clearly sensed this man's grudge. He didn't know what Konoha had done to deserve it, but the danger was real—and he could do nothing to stop it.

Below—

Konoha's massive walls were surrounded by countless watchposts, stretching outward to guard against enemy invasions.

But this time, they weren't facing a normal enemy.

At one eastern watchpost, three Konoha shinobi suddenly noticed a messenger pigeon descending from the sky.

"Where's the Nine-Tails?"

Before the bird landed, a cold voice echoed from behind them.

Startled, the three turned to see an orange-haired man with black piercings walking out from the forest.

Behind him stood five other figures of various appearances.

All wore the black cloaks with red clouds—members of Akatsuki.
