When the wind clattered the wooden window frame and the soft light settled on her cheeks, heating up the cold skin, Evangeline's green eyes gently shifted from under her eyelids. Slowly, her lashes fluttered and her eyes open with a snap.
Her hands reached out immediately to the side of bed beside her only to purse her lips tight when she felt of how cold the bedsheets were.
Rising from the bed, Evangeline stared at the bed and then ventured to look at the room that had no single change in it.
When she left the room, she saw Phoebe sleeping on the chair, clothed thickly today due to the rain the night before.
"Good morning," a simple greeting came from her left and turning her head, she found Apollo.
"Good morning," she replied a little awkwardly. She never really exchange much conversation with Apollo before so they would always have an awkward pause after a greeting. This time, she bravened herself to ask, "Did Hades not return...?"
