Chapter 950 - Chapter 752: Sweet Pudding (Part 3)

"Or you can try again," Hermione paused and continued, "Tomorrow is the Easter holiday, it's a good opportunity, I think you can try again."

"I've tried many times," Harry said, "He keeps avoiding me, what can I do."

"Just try again, you'll succeed eventually." Hermione finished and went to borrow a book from Madam Pince, not even glancing at Ron, as if Harry was the only one there.

In the evening, a sumptuous Easter feast was held in the auditorium.

Although the Easter holiday, like Christmas, lasts two weeks, this time nobody chose to go home. Everyone decided to stay at Hogwarts.

Activities of the Death Eaters have become increasingly frequent. According to the Daily Prophet, the Death Eaters are no longer satisfied with hiding, they've started to appear on streets, spreading fear everywhere.

The battles between Death Eaters and Aurors are almost non-stop, people go missing every day, and the Dark Mark, which hadn't been seen for over a decade, now frequently appears above random houses.

Because even if someone wanted to go home for the holiday, their families would strictly forbid it, urging them to stay at Hogwarts.

At the dining table, Kael was eating the chocolate eggs specially prepared by the house-elves while turning his head to look at the teacher's table.

As expected, Dumbledore was still absent, but this time Snape did not leave, and when Kael looked over, Snape just happened to be looking back.

Their gazes met in the air, then they tacitly looked away.

It's worth mentioning that Snape already knew about the Room of Requirement, as it was Professor McGonagall who told him.

During this period, Professor McGonagall visited the Room of Requirement twice, and the second time, she brought Snape with her.

But since Kael had the key, no matter how interested Snape was, he didn't make a sound, seemingly waiting for Kael to speak first.

But would Kael indulge him?

Of course not!

Acting as if he didn't see Snape, Kael led Professor McGonagall into the Room of Requirement and slammed the door shut.

This made Snape feel quite upset.

And after that, Professor McGonagall didn't plan to go again for a while, meaning Snape had to find Kael himself if he wanted to go.

He regretted several times why he left the school over some minor matter earlier; if he had stayed with the other professors, he wouldn't need any excuses now.

As for Dumbledore, he also learned about what happened at the school from a letter from Professor McGonagall, and rushed back that very night.

But coincidentally, that night Kael was stuck on a key issue and ended up staying up all night in the Room of Requirement.

When he came out for lunch the next day, Dumbledore had left for other matters just ten minutes earlier.

And this wasn't the first time; every time Dumbledore came back, it just so happened that Kael was spending the night in the Room of Requirement.

This left Dumbledore quite troubled, to the point where he suspected Kael was doing it on purpose.

But that was just Dumbledore overthinking it.

Kael had no idea that an old man over a hundred years old had waited for him at the door for several nights; he was genuinely just following his own schedule for classes.

"How are you planning to spend the holiday?" Conna asked, picking up a piece of pudding, "Are you going to the Room of Requirement again?"

"Definitely," Kael said, "you should come too, I feel the Magic Text lessons there would suit you well. They're not exactly easy, but they're pretty detailed."

"After you've studied for a while, you should be able to understand the other courses too."

"Alright." Conna hesitated only a little before nodding in agreement; she didn't have anything else to do, so learning Magic Text seemed like a good idea.

"But Kael..." She suddenly thought of something and said hesitantly, "Can we bring Professor Snape this time?"

"Why?" Kael asked.

"He's asked me several times already, and every time he's distracted, I feel like he's really curious about it."

"Then why doesn't he just come to me himself?" Kael cleared his throat and said, pretending, "He's a professor, if he asks me to take him for a look, I certainly wouldn't refuse... but he hasn't said anything, so he must not be interested."

Conna rubbed her forehead, a bit frustrated with the dynamic between Snape and Kael...

They've been at odds for so long, do they never get tired of it?

"How about this, can I ask on his behalf?" Conna glanced at Snape, who kept sneaking glances over at them, and sighed, "You know, I can totally represent Professor Snape."

"Hmm... I'll think about it." Kael said, stroking his chin.

But the next second, he felt a warm sensation on his cheek, accompanied by the sweet taste of pudding.

"How about now?" Conna asked.

"Ahem, okay..." Kael blurted out, "No problem, leave it to me."

He instinctively glanced at the teacher's table.

Snape must have seen Conna kiss Kael's cheek just now; he immediately exploded, an intense low pressure enveloping him as if he might charge over and hit Kael with a Killing Curse any second.

But would Kael be afraid?

Not only was he unafraid, he even raised his eyebrow at Snape defiantly.

Snape was so infuriated that he squashed the baked potato in his hand into mashed potatoes, repeatedly kneading it.

"Do you have to provoke him?" Conna shook her head in helplessness at their little actions.

"Sorry, reflex," Kael quickly composed his expression and turned away, avoiding looking at Snape.
