Chapter 492 - Chapter 457: The Angry Raven

"Gass, you finally killed me."

The groundhog looked like it was dying, clutching its belly as if it had been shot, using the elbow of one arm to slowly drag its body, leaning half against the spaceship wall.

Beast Boy Garfield had always suspected that Gass wanted to laugh them to death and then inherit his teammates' belongings.

Today, Gass finally succeeded.

He felt his intestines were broken into pieces, breathing was difficult, and his brain was dizzy, all due to lack of oxygen.

"I..." Gass's face turned red, looking at Garfield in his groundhog form, then at the expectant eyes of the aliens, he felt terribly ashamed.

The groundhog raised a paw, stopping him from continuing.

"Stop, Gass, you won. Under my bed, there's a metal box with seaweed cookies I've treasured for ten years... Take them, they're all yours."

Raven started secretly preparing a magic spell, as the enemies were gathering and everyone was in a daze; she wanted to cast an area spell.

Meanwhile, Donna remained vigilant. As Gass refused to eat shit, the sea race on the other side was getting restless.

"Cough cough..." Garfield mimicked the act of dying, though he really didn't need to pretend since the mad laughter already made breathing difficult: "Also, tell Nightwing, the person who put bats in his underwear last time, it really wasn't me."

"You..." Gass's face grew even redder, his beard couldn't hide his complexion.

Beast Boy feeling unsatisfied, after finishing his 'final words,' ignored Gass and turned to look at Steel Armor.

"I'm dying, before I die, could you promise to date me?"

Steel Armor, covered in metal armor, wore a cold expression under her helmet, showing no emotion.

Playing house in front of the enemy, Gass was causing trouble, Garfield pretending to be dead, oh, men.

"I refuse, you're too childish, now stand up and prepare for battle."

Rejected, Garfield clutched his chest, tilted his eyes, and stuck out his tongue; he died.

Unless Steel Armor hugged him, he wouldn't get up.

If Steel Armor refused, Donna would do; if Donna refused, Raven would do; if none of them were willing, any pretty girl from the Justice League Community would do.

A young pretty girl, or... someone who just looks young would work too.

'Sigh, I, Garfield, am so handsome and amusing, easily attracting the gaze of girls, truly a sinful man...'

Lying there pretending to be dead, Garfield remained lost in his fantasies.

While the three girls in the team completely ignored him.

"Tentacle Pool!"

Raven waved her hand, releasing magic, and a mass of shadowy, granular energy tentacles suddenly sprouted under the enemies' feet, forming an impassable swamp.

All enemies caught in it were torn and ravaged by these tentacles, letting out miserable cries.

Her power came from the Demon King 'Three Palaces' lineage, very similar to hell magic.

But apart from some flame magic, most of it was shadow system power, making her spells appear purplish-black.

And Donna had learned quite a bit from Deathstroke, like not wasting time talking when the enemy was stunned but going straight for the sneak attack.

Like Albella casting spells, never announcing the magic name because she rarely coordinated with teammates; a warrior in front slashing, if they can't dodge magic from the rear, they aren't a qualified warrior.

So she tossed magic rather casually, Deathstroke was a martial arts master, dodging didn't seem difficult, rather they coordinated well, often brushing past various lethal magic unscathed.

And Raven was a 'homely' warlock, shouting skill names after casting to warn teammates to avoid splash damage or clear the projectile path.

This had its pros and cons.

The advantage was coordinating with her wasn't nerve-racking, worrying about a fireball suddenly flying from behind and burning hair or something.

The disadvantage was equally obvious, which was it also alerted the enemy.

The aliens who were initially just watching, suddenly noticed a purple energy ball flying toward them.

They dodged the landing spot of the purple sphere, but the energy seemed to sink into the floor, instantly turning into a mass of tentacles, ensnaring some aliens within.

But quite a few managed to escape.

And Donna and Steel Armor began their charge, what's left is the warriors' task, to intercept other enemies and try to lessen the spellcasting for Raven.

Raven's power was dangerously high, the Three Palaces might influence her at any time, pushing her into madness, like a humanoid magic version of a nuclear bomb.

Gass watched the poo on the ground vanish, exhaling slightly, it seemed this chapter was closed.

Since there was no evidence anymore.

He planned to help Garfield up so they could join the fight.

But as he walked toward the wall, bending down, Garfield's 'corpse' suddenly slid a distance, 'whoosh' slipping away from his grasp.

Gass squinted, showing an annoyed look.

But thinking back, it was indeed his fault initially, he had to spray a little air from his nostrils, shake his head, take a few more steps, and bend over again...

'Whoosh.'

Beast Boy's 'corpse' slid a few more steps.

Seeing Gass coming to pick him up, Garfield internally refused, only pretty girls were allowed to carry him, there was no way he'd want to be carried by Gass, a bearded strong man.

So he avoided it.

Gass was even more annoyed, he quickened his pace, bending down!
