Chapter 165 - Chapter 164: Spoiler

The operations were clearly divided among Victor, Reed, and the others—everyone was fully mobilized because they were about to strike it rich.

Victor and Reed no longer competed or bickered. This was a period of cooperation. They had one common goal: money.

Reed needed funds for his scientific research.

Victor wanted to return to his homeland in glory, to build up his city, and maybe even break into hell itself—he had always known magic existed.

The others just wanted enough money to buy the luxury items they'd always dreamed of.

The team was extremely busy. Materials, machines, and equipment were continuously delivered to their rented warehouse, filling it to the brim.

Every expense was carefully recorded by Umbrella's financial supervisor.

A month passed. Earth remained calm.

The summer sun in New York scorched everything. Leo walked along the street, white flashes of light catching his eyes repeatedly.

Too white, too shaky.

"Hearts are not what they used to be, not what they used to be!"

"Isn't this testing humanity? Haven't you seen how much these poor guys are suffering?" Leo muttered. "There are bad people in the crowd."

It was midsummer since the end of the Thor 1 storyline.

The heat was oppressive, making it hard to breathe. Something bad felt imminent.

After observing human life briefly, Leo arrived at Victor's company.

The place had completely changed. They'd moved into a new suburban factory, and the entire company had been revamped. It now had a grand new name: Future Life Technology.

"Sir, who are you looking for?"

A security guard stopped Leo as he arrived.

"I'm looking for Victor. Please inform him that I've arrived."

Leo removed his light illusion, revealing his true appearance.

His fame wasn't from saving the world—it was from his unmatched strength and peerless technology.

Umbrella's tech had surpassed Earth's by decades. Terrorist organizations that tried to attack Umbrella were inexplicably eliminated.

Hackers forming alliances never lasted more than three seconds—they were counter-hacked and sent to prison.

Even high-ranking officials attempting to scheme against Umbrella ended up dead in the streets or in jail.

Everyone understood: if you tried to steal from Umbrella, your family would pay the price.

Thus, Leo had to conceal his unparalleled appearance.

The security guard, seeing Leo's real face, immediately flipped his attitude.

"Ah!! Mr. Leo! Please! Please!"

The guard bowed deeply, ushering Leo to the elevator and instructing the front desk to notify the CEO.

The front desk receptionist quickly dialed Victor's office, putting away her infatuation.

As Leo entered the elevator, the guard maintained a smile until the doors closed.

Victor, having received the notice, immediately waited at the elevator entrance, accompanied by Reed, Susan, Johnny, and Ben.

This was Leo's first visit. He hadn't informed them beforehand, but the Fantastic Four knew to meet him when the big boss arrived.

Ding!

The elevator doors opened. Leo looked up to see several people standing in front of him. They shouted in unison:

"Welcome, Mr. Leo, to inspect our work!"

"Uh, what's all this for? Going this grand?" Leo muttered, unimpressed. He was just here to see results, not to be showered with theatrics.

"Haha, it's Mr. Leo's first visit. I'm letting the team get acquainted, so they don't make money and then fail to recognize their benefactor," Victor explained with a smile. He knew how to flatter.

"Alright, I believe your nonsense," Leo shrugged.

Victor gestured to introduce everyone.

"Stop. No need to introduce them. I know them all," Leo interrupted.

He had seen their movies; he knew the Fantastic Four intimately.

"Ah, sir knows them? Then I won't bother," Victor said, slightly surprised. Umbrella's network really was that powerful.

Leo walked straight to Reed.

"Hello, Shen Gun De. I've heard much about you."

Reed froze.

"Uh?? Did Mr. Leo make a mistake? My name's Reed, not… Shen Gun De!"

"Haha, God says anything is possible. You'll understand later," Leo said mysteriously.

"Alright, I guess I'm Shen Gun De from now on," Reed joked, still scratching his head.

Leo then approached Susan.

"Hello there, dear Invisible Woman, the beautiful Susan."

Susan blinked.

"Uh… why am I called Invisible Woman? Am I invisible?"

"Haha, you'll know soon enough," Leo replied, leaving her puzzled.

"If I could turn invisible, I'd just empty your house and call it a day. Why bother working hard?" Susan teased.

"Haha, welcome, welcome," Leo chuckled internally. Come to my house, and you won't leave.

Finally, he addressed Johnny.

"Hello, Captain America Human Torch. You and Steve are brothers from different fathers and mothers, right?"

Pfft!!

Everyone burst out laughing. Leo's nickname obsession was… unconventional.

Johnny, however, was ecstatic.

Human Torch! That nickname was epic! Why hadn't he thought of it? A kindred spirit!

Johnny nearly knelt in excitement.
