Sandy sulked, crouched in a corner drawing circles, when Luffy approached.
"Sandy, wanna go fishing?"

"Come onnn."
Sandy knew if he didn't agree, Luffy would keep pestering forever. Helplessly, he got up and joined the fishing group.
"Little fish, little fish, hurry and bite the hook~"
Nami, passing by, frowned. "All of you be quiet! Do you think fish are idiots? They'll run away with you screaming like that!"
Luffy suddenly realized, "No wonder I haven't caught anything yet."
He turned to Sandy with disdain, "Sandy, try being quiet when you fish!"
Right as he said it, Sandy pulled up a fish.
It wasn't big, but it was definitely enough for bragging rights.
Sandy smirked, holding up his rod. "Maybe the problem is you."
Then he tossed the fish back into the sea.
Nami blinked. "You caught it—why throw it back?"
Usopp and Chopper were just as confused, while Luffy complained, "Sandy, you finally caught one…"
Sandy said, "They're too cute to eat. And small fish won't fill us anyway. If we're fishing, let's catch big ones… Here it comes!"
As usual, he kicked off his shoes and leaped straight into the sea.
Chopper screamed, thinking he'd fallen in by accident, and immediately dove in to save him.
Everyone on the ship: "…"
They'd been through this multiple times. As a Devil Fruit user, Chopper instinctively jumped in every time Luffy or Sandy entered the water…
"You scared me! I thought I was gonna die!" Chopper gasped after being rescued.
Nami groaned, "Why do you do this every single time?!"
"But I saw Sandy fall in…" Chopper protested.

"You're welcome! We're partners!"

A bit later, Zoro woke up to the smell of roasted fish—only to discover Luffy and Usopp roasting fish using his cursed sword and Yubashiri.
"YOU BASTARDS! DO YOU WANT TO DIE?!"
Luffy whined, "Don't be stingy! Look at Sandy, he's even using his own sword to roast fish!"
Robin, who had been reading nearby, smiled softly as she approached. "Hello everyone."
"Miss Robin!" Sanji immediately offered her the best piece of grilled meat, hearts in his eyes.
Because the ship had no stocked ingredients, they'd been relying on ocean catches for the past two days…
Just like that, two days passed, and the Going Merry finally reached an island.
The moment they landed, Sandy, Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper dove into the sand and rolled around like idiots, loving the feel of solid ground.
Nami sighed. They still had no food. Fresh water needed collecting. Dinner wasn't even considered yet.
And these idiots rolled in the sand instead?!

Under Nami's command, everyone was assigned tasks.

Luffy drooled. "Really?! If there are Kuma too—that'd be amazing! The Kuma paw you roasted last time was the best!"
"Shh," Sandy whispered. "Don't let them hear. We'll do this secretly. Mishi mishi, little Kuma, we're here~ hehehe…"
"Mishi mishi, hehehe, little Kuma, come out…"
Everyone nearby stared at the two idiots with dead eyes.
They definitely came from the same village.
