At this moment, Sandy and Luffy were facing off.
Usopp, standing to the side, swallowed nervously and asked Sanji, "Th-Their aura is terrifying!"
Sanji exhaled smoke and said flatly, "Luffy, beat that bastard Sandy up properly."
"Oh!" Luffy lowered his stance—one hand on his thigh, the other on the ground—and stared at Sandy.
"Sandy, I'm not the same as before. You'd better be careful!"
"Second Gear!"
Luffy's body flushed red as steam burst out.
Nami sighed. "Seriously? Are you guys actually doing this?"
Sanji shook his head. "Nami, let's just watch."
Sandy smiled.
"Luffy, you need to be careful."
Crackling blue Lightning flickered around him—then Sandy vanished.
Luffy's eyes widened as he lost sight of his opponent. The next second, Sandy appeared right beside him.
"Speed is weight! Straw Hat Luffy… have you ever been kicked at the speed of light?"
If Kizaru ever saw Sandy imitating him like this, he'd definitely spit blood.
Bang!
Sandy launched Luffy through the air with a single kick.
"LUFFY!!"
"I say, Sandy, aren't you being too ruthless!?"
"Yeah, bastard! We're partners! Why are you using Lightning to kick Luffy!?"
Sandy rolled his eyes.
"I didn't use much force. And he's rubber — he doesn't conduct electricity."
"NANI!!"
Everyone looked. Sure enough, Luffy was perfectly fine.
Luffy stood up sulking.
"Sandy, your speed is too fast…"
"That's why you need to master Observation Haki and train your reactions. You're still far from being a true master."
"Hmph!" Two streams of hot air shot from Luffy's nose.
"Again! I won't get kicked this time!"
Bang!
Same position. Same result.
Sandy groaned, "Training doesn't happen overnight. Want me to blindfold you and beat you with Armament Haki? Maybe you'll awaken Observation Haki faster."
Sanji darkened, "Are you finding an excuse to beat him up, bastard?"
Hey—it did work for Rayleigh…
Zoro tied his black bandana onto his head.
"Luffy, rest. I'll spar with Sandy."
Sandy smirked, "No problem. Just don't lose your mind. I'm… very strange."
"Strange?" everyone echoed.
Chopper tilted his head.
"Sandy, do you mean you're ghost-like?"
"Get lost." Sandy waved. "Just watch."
Zoro's aura sharpened.
"Sandy… be careful."
"Space Field. Send your strongest move."
Zoro grunted, "Don't blame me if you die."
"Oh shut up and attack."
Zoro launched forward.
"Three-Sword Style Secret Technique—Three Thousand Worlds!!"
The slash roared forward—
—but at the last moment it curved upward like a skating blade gliding into the sky.
"???"
"Nani?? Why did Zoro's slash bend!?"
"Sugoi! Sandy, how did you do that!?"
Sanji's cigarette fell from his mouth.
He couldn't even process it.
Zoro stared, dazed, waiting for an explanation.
Luffy ran up excitedly.
"Sandy! That was so cool!! Do it again!!"
Nami crossed her arms.
"Sandy, explain why his slash curved."
Usopp trembled, "A-Are you human or a ghost!? How can you even DO that!? Are you actually a God!?"
Sandy scratched his head.
"I changed the direction of space inside the Space Field. His slash followed the path. Think of it like guiding a flowing stream. The attacks are the water—I guide the flow."
Chopper blinked.
"Can you bounce it back?"
"Are you stupid?" Sandy groaned.
"What happens when two bullets collide?"
"Explosion?" Sanji asked.
"Exactly."
Sanji scoffed, "So this ability doesn't have much killing power. What's so great about it?"
Luffy puffed out his chest.
"Sandy, let's fight again! I won't lose this time!"
"Give it up, bastard." Sandy sighed.
"I already said it—if you can't block special moves, there's nothing else to talk about. Go master the basics. Anyway… Nami, it's your turn to perform!"
Everyone turned to Nami.
Nami stepped forward proudly.
"Please call me… Magical Girl."
"Hot Bubble…"
"Cold Bubble…"
Sandy's eyes widened.
"Usopp, Chopper—RUN."
"Why?" Chopper asked. "It looks fun."
Usopp noticed the suddenly gathering storm clouds.
"Wait… NAMI! Don't tell me you're—"
Nami smiled.
"Mirage Tempo."
Dozens of Nami clones filled the beach.
"Now then, guess where I am."
Sanji's eyes turned to hearts.
"So many Namis!! I'M COMING!!"
He hugged air.
Chopper blinked.
"Why?"
Dark aura surrounding her, Nami raised her weapon.
"Be careful, everyone… Thunderstorm!!"
"AHHHHHHHH!!"
The entire Straw Hat Crew got obliterated.
Sandy slapped his forehead.
"Nami… what the hell did you just do? You even electrocuted yourself! And if you increased the power—"
DUANG!
DUANG!
Sandy and Usopp were both slammed into the ground.
"You bastards!" Nami yelled.
"What kind of weapons did you two make me!? I was almost electrocuted to death!"
Sanji was twitching on the ground.
"Love… this is love…"
Zoro stood up groaning.
"Nami… I'm going to cut you…"
Meanwhile, Luffy — immune to Lightning — scratched his head.
"What happened to everyone?"
"..."
