Seeing his duel interrupted, Franky immediately stood up and said unhappily, "Carrera Company employees, what are you doing here?"
The Carrera Company shipwrights didn't answer Franky.
Meanwhile, Nami said happily, "Great! Aren't they the shipwrights from yesterday? Isn't Luffy going to see Iceberg? We can just—"
"Wait, Nami."
Sandy pulled Nami back into her seat. "Something's not right. Let's keep drinking tea."
Nami frowned. "Something's not right?"
"Yeah," Sandy replied calmly.
Franky shouted, "Aren't these the young guys from Carrera? Interrupting someone else's duel without permission—I can't let that slide. Did you all come here to die?"
Kaku replied, "Your tone's not small at all. You trashed our factory like this… do we need a reason to stop you?"
"That's right!" Tilestone added. "Franky, how do you plan to explain this?"
"Hold on," Barry said. "We'll deal with that later. We have more important things first."
Barry turned toward Luffy.
"Straw Hat Luffy, you should know what you did, shouldn't you? How dare you still come here and act so brazenly?"
"Huh?" Luffy blinked, confused. "We heard something happened to Iceberg, so we came to see him."
Franky sighed. "So that's how it is. Seriously… Straw Hat Crew, are you guys going through puberty and want to fight everything you see?"
"Pffft—!"
Sandy sprayed out the tea in his mouth.
Nami looked over, panicked. "What are you doing now?"
Sandy already had a notebook out. "Writing it down. I didn't expect Franky, the thug leader, to actually spit out a wise quote."
Luffy said, "I already told you, we didn't do anything!"
Barry replied, "If you keep acting dumb, I'll tie you up first and ask questions later."
He glanced at Sandy and Nami.
"Including you two."
"Hey, hey," Sandy said, "let me clarify something: we didn't do it. And if you have a problem, you take it up with my Captain. If you mess with me, be careful."
"I'll settle you later."
Barry suddenly moved. "Activity Rope — Power!"
In an instant, Luffy was tied up and slammed onto the ground.
"Bang!!"
"You bastards!" Franky roared. "I told you not to interfere! Are you deaf?!"
The five shipwrights immediately took battle stances.
Nami said, "Why? Why are the shipwrights also against us?"
Sandy chuckled. "Because they think the ones who attacked Iceberg were the Straw Hats."
He turned to the shipwrights.
"If you have a problem, deal with my Captain. Don't provoke me. A Great Pirate with a 300 million Belly bounty isn't easy to handle, alright?"
But his warning didn't matter. One shipwright raised his gun and fired at Sandy.
"Bang!"
"Ahhh!!"—Nami screamed and covered her head.
Sandy caught the bullet between his index and middle fingers.
"Among all martial arts, speed is king. How do you think a 300 million bounty pirate got his reputation?"
The crowd stared in shock.
Lucci narrowed his eyes slightly but said nothing.
"Bang! Bang!"
The shipwright fired two more shots.
"AGAIN?!" Sandy roared as he flicked both bullets aside like flies.
"How is he doing that?!"
"So strong!"
"This is what a 300 million Belly pirate looks like!"
Franky yelled, "Are you listening to me or not?!"
He extended his left hand, switched it to machine-gun mode, and fired.
"Biubiubiu!"
The shipwrights dodged easily.
Kaku leaped high into the air. "I don't have time to waste on you, Franky."
Franky glared. "What the hell are you, a mountain monkey?!"
He aimed his left weapon upward—
but Tilestone smashed him with a wooden club before he could fire.
Kaku caught Franky mid-air and slammed him headfirst into the ground.
In another area, Luffy was clashing fists with Lucci.
Lucci attacked relentlessly, pushing Luffy back with cold precision.
"Damn it… stop already!" Luffy dodged with extreme speed—yet Lucci matched him move for move.
"Boom!!"
Luffy took a heavy punch and smashed into the ground.
Only Luffy, Sandy, and Lucci truly understood how ridiculous their speed and reflexes were in that moment.
"Cough, cough…"
Luffy sat up. "These guys are amazing! Damn it—what do you want?! At least tell us your reason!"
Barry stepped forward.
"You ask us why? The one who broke into our company and attacked Iceberg last night… was your crew."
"No way!" Nami shouted. "That's impossible! Hey—Sandy! Stop drinking!"
Sandy said, "Weren't we at the coast last night? Don't ask me—I don't know either."
Barry continued, "Mr. Iceberg saw it with his own eyes. The one who attacked him was your companion—Nico Robin."
Luffy said firmly, "Let me see Iceberg. He must've seen wrong. Robin would never do that."
Peeply, the shipwright with sunglasses, said, "We won't let you near him. Who knows what trick you'll pull next?"
"That's right! Tie up the culprits!"
"They tried to assassinate the hero of Water 7!"
"Behead them and display them to the public!!"
The nearby citizens began shouting in agreement.
One man approached to grab Nami—
Sandy glared at him.
The man collapsed to the ground without Sandy using even a drop of Conqueror's Haki.
"Don't be afraid of him! He's just one person! Everyone, go together!"
Trouble.
Sandy sighed.
"Bang!!!"
He flipped the entire tea table.
Everyone froze at his sudden explosion of anger.
Sandy stepped forward.
"Listen, bastards. We are Pirates. We wanted to get along peacefully, but this happened. I repeat, we didn't touch Iceberg."
"Stop lying!" someone shouted. "You're assassins! How dare you attack Iceberg?! Surrender!"
Luffy growled, "I already said—we didn't do anything!"
"Exactly!" Nami yelled. "Robin would never attack Mr. Iceberg!"
Barry said coldly, "Believe what you want. This ends here. Offending Iceberg means becoming an enemy of the Carrera Company—and Water 7."
Luffy responded, "Don't speak nonsense. Let me talk to Iceberg."
"Give up, Pirate! The city already knows. You have nowhere to run!"
"We will capture your entire crew!"
"Take them down!"
Sandy whispered to Luffy, "Luffy, they won't listen. Should I take Nami and leave first?"
Luffy nodded. "Okay. You two go."
"Leave?" The shipwrights blocked the way.
Barry said, "No one is going anywhere! Surrender!"
"No, no." Sandy wrapped an arm around Nami's waist.
"I am a gust of wind. You can't catch me."
He stepped upward—
And walked into the air.
Not Moon Step.
Just walking on air like it was normal ground.
Everyone stared, stunned.
Sandy declared smugly, "Hahaha! I want to ride the wind and retur—"
He stopped.
People leaned in to hear the rest of the "cool line."
Nami looked up at him. "What's wrong?"
Sandy scratched his head.
"I forgot the lyrics. What comes next?"
Nami exploded.
"STOP DOING USELESS THINGS! IF I FALL, I'LL KILL YOU!!"
"…"
Everyone at Dock 1.
So he forgot the lyrics!!
