Something felt off with how easily Ramsey Housley agreed to my terms.
Right. The fact that both of them showed up here together in the first place was already an anomaly.
After Ramsey left the room, my impatience hit hard, especially seeing how calm Dimitri still looked.
"Now tell me," I said, leaning against the edge of the window. "You could've just sent a congratulatory bouquet. Aren't you busy with your campaign?"
Still staring ahead with that unreadable face, he tapped his fingers against his knee like he was weighing something.
It would come soon. Was he really that eager for his turn?
"Shouldn't you be thanking me? You got this hospital. And that massive power."
"This hospital was mine to begin with. You know exactly how it was built. And that power? It just changed hands."
"Ungrateful brat."
"Unless you handed it to me on purpose."
"Didn't I?" He shot me a sharp glance.
Then he smirked when he saw my expression harden.
