Viona's POV
I held Roey's hand, which was wearing dinosaur gloves, as we walked along the narrow path between the wheat fields and the flower garden. We were heading toward the lake about sixty feet ahead.
"Are you cold?" I asked when I saw him tighten his jacket.
"Uh… yes, Mommy. It's a bit cold. But I'm fine. Mommy wants to walk with me, so anything for Mommy."
A guilty smile pulled at my lips. Should we go back? But I wouldn't be able to talk to him alone like this inside the house.
"Hah… why is my boy so sweet? I think I'm the happiest mother in the world to have such a sweet boy. Let's walk a bit more so your food will go down."
His smile widened at that, and we picked up our pace slightly.
"Mommy, why is the wheat field still green when the flowers in the garden are mostly withered? It's almost the end of autumn."
I smiled. "That's winter wheat."
"Huh? Winter wheat?"
