Viona's POV
Bam!
I slammed my palm against the stainless-steel front desk hard enough to make the annoying nurse flinch, his eyes widening at me in disbelief. Even Jane looked startled from the corner of my eye.
I let out a shaky breath.
"She is not even a real patient. And I am sure she would gladly crawl out of her beautiful little dream to meet Viona Kingston. Show. Me. The way." My voice came out firm, unwavering.
The nurse visibly stiffened again the moment the Kingston name left my mouth. Of course he did. This asylum was part of Houston Hospital.
He hurriedly grabbed the phone, speaking to another nurse and telling them to wake the occupant of room 306.
"Third floor, right?" I asked for confirmation while already stepping away from the desk.
When he nodded with an awkward, strained smile, I no longer spared him another glance and headed straight for the elevator at full speed.
The moment the elevator doors opened, Jane and I stepped inside.
