"Roar..."
The dragon's roar echoed across the entire island's sky.
Before [Gluttony] had lost control, he naturally knew to conceal himself.
Using "psychological invisibility," he could make his dragon's roar and Dragon's Might only affect his intended targets.
But now he'd already lost control.
And so, the demigod-level, unrestrained, mind-affecting roar was unleashed wantonly by him.
The only good news was that he was currently high in the sky, so the sound would weaken considerably by the time it reached the ground.
Plus, since the target wasn't specifically directed at the people below, it wouldn't destroy their minds.
But even so, this roar still cast an enormous psychological shadow over the people on the ground.
Those working in the morning, eating, walking; in bars, in the Moulin Rouge, in their own homes; commoners, vagrants, prostitutes, pirates, sailors... everyone heard this sound at the same moment!
Ordinary people who heard it were naturally terrified, trembling.
Beyonders could at least partially resist it, not to the point of losing control of their bowels on the spot or breaking into tears.
Many people looked up at the first moment, toward where the sound came from.
And then they saw the legendary dragon, and a Black Knight confronting it!
"Medici."
Silas treaded on the wind, silently calling out in his mind.
A demigod who'd lost control was extremely dangerous. He needed to use his full strength and resolve this quickly.
"Yo, another demigod."
Inside him, the Red Angel whistled and chuckled lightly.
Soon, blood began seeping from the surface of Silas's armor.
That blood carried the color of rust, adding a deep crimson tint to his pitch-black armor.
Over a dozen fireballs, cyan with hints of brilliant white, formed around him, illuminating his armor.
Demigod-level Hunter authority, activated at this moment!
Silas stared intently at the dragon before him.
He discovered a tiny point of light on the other's forehead, about the size of a scale.
This point of light was so discordant against the dragon's powerful body, like a lump of coal in the snow.
Without a doubt, this was the dragon's weak point.
"Weakness Detection"!
"Boom!"
Silas controlled the fireballs, making them shoot precisely at the dragon's body.
These flames wouldn't cause much damage, but they truly enraged the dragon.
It roared madly, flapping its wings, shooting toward Silas. A transparent dragon's breath was rapidly accumulating in its mouth.
After losing control, its reactions were almost pure beast instinct!
"Perfect."
Facing the charging dragon, Silas chose not to retreat.
Instead, he gripped his sword with both hands, folded his arms across his chest, preparing for a thrust.
Violent winds stirred beneath his feet. He charged toward the dragon, launching his own assault!
And so the people on the ground witnessed this spectacle: the dragon, massive as a mountain, its body rushing forward at high speed, while on the other side, the black knight came toward it as well.
Where he passed, he left a long black trail.
It was as if the sky itself had been infected by that streak of darkness and grown dim.
The next instant, the two sides collided.
"Roar..."
Immediately after, an even more heart-shaking dragon's roar thundered in everyone's hearts.
They stared wide-eyed, watching helplessly as that seemingly unstoppable mighty dragon let out a mournful cry, making the entire island tremble along with it.
The Black Knight's greatsword had pierced through its forehead.
"Swish."
Silas stepped on the dragon's head, exerted slight force, and pulled out his pitch-black, profound "Cull of Spiritual Flesh."
Dragon blood splattered from the wound, falling on his black armor.
The terrible weapon capable of annihilating both flesh and soul had penetrated the dragon's most fatal weakness.
Even at the demigod level, it was difficult to resist.
So the light in the eyes of the out-of-control [Gluttony] quickly faded. At such a height, it lost its buoyancy and fell freely.
"Dealt with..."
Standing on the dragon's head, Silas felt deeply moved.
After advancing to "Black Knight," his first battle was a victory, proving he had an enormous advantage when facing ordinary Sequence 4s.
The only problem was that [Gluttony's] Psychology Alchemists, from their president to [Gluttony] this so-called Council member, had all developed some conflicts with him.
And what concerned Silas even more was the name [Gluttony] had shouted before dying.
It seemed to be his faith, his support, which was why he was so desperate and mad when abandoned.
"I feel like I've heard that name before..."
Silas felt somewhat familiar with it, as if he'd heard something similar somewhere before, but couldn't recall it at the moment.
"Whoosh..."
At this time, he was rapidly plummeting along with the dragon.
Air friction sounded in his ears, clouds swiftly swept upward.
The island on the ground became increasingly clear: streets, houses, trees, everyone's eyes wide with shock... hmm, Anderson?
Silas noticed that the Hunter was somewhere on the island, surrounded by a large group of people, seemingly about to be arrested.
So he began adjusting the dragon's falling direction, accelerating his descent toward that area.
"Boom!"
In just a few seconds, the earth rapidly expanded before him, until the impact arrived with it.
Surging air blasts struck the ground, the impact causing many people to fall.
Their faces were filled with terror, terror that had originally come from the fearsome dragon.
But when they realized the dragon had already been slaughtered, and the slayer was the Black Knight standing on the dragon's head, that fear became even more intense, fresh.
Silas casually scanned the crowd.
He saw that among these people were Beyonders from the Storm Church, people dressed as adventurers, and Loen soldiers carrying high-powered steam rifles.
Everyone whose eyes met his immediately lowered their heads, showing extreme fear.
"Blood Reverend, Blood Reverend!"
A lavishly dressed man sitting collapsed beside the bishop shrieked miserably, the wetness between his legs showing an expanding trend. "You actually killed that great lord..."
Silas found him noisy, glared at him, and the man's eyes rolled back white as he directly passed out.
"Anderson, still alive?"
Only then did he turn his head to look at the "Strongest Hunter" surrounded in the middle.
"I can't really say."
Anderson felt everyone's gazes and couldn't help but smile bitterly.
Under the witness of so many people, the [Blood Reverend] had personally come to rescue him and even spoke to him.
This completely confirmed that the two were in league together. At this rate, he'd probably really end up on a wanted poster.
Things had come to this point. It seemed he could only join Gascoigne's pirate ship...
However, Anderson's mindset was quite good.
After being troubled for just a few seconds, he recovered. He stretched his body and quickly ran to the dragon's side.
"This guy is that demigod?" he asked, eyes wide with excitement.
"Yeah," came the warning.
"Don't get too close. He'd already lost control before dying. The spiritual energy he's radiating could mess with your mind."
Silas sheathed his sword and walked down from the dragon's head step by step.
Everyone present watched him, not daring to move rashly.
