Two days had gone by since his arrival at Nova Eris, and Legolas spent every waking moment he had with his son.
It was a pain for Kenneth, but it was sweet to know he cared about what was going on in his child's life.
He asked about Toleran, about his classes, and his friends. He even asked if there was anyone special he had his eye on.
Kenneth almost choked on his chai latte (which he was obsessed with, by the way).
That reaction alone was enough to bring on another string of questions about whether or not this Striker was treating him right, what he looked like, and how they'd met.
His fingers tapped lightly on the table, an unconscious rhythm that seemed to pick up pace whenever Kenneth hesitated.
It was as if each evasive response made Legolas' fingers drum faster. Slowly, his face turned serious, reflecting a stream of unspoken concerns. "Kenny, have you already started projecting?"
