That evening, Kenneth decided he'd make Lucien dinner for a change.
He was by no means a chief in the kitchen, but he could cook enough to get by and enough to make his food taste edible. He used to bunk with one of his closest friends aside from Darren and Amir, the one who was constantly asking him philosophical and introspective questions and also taught him how to make a thing or two.
He was obsessed with any rendition of fried rice, but his favourite had always been kimchi fried rice, made with fermented cabbage, and so, he'd taught how to make it. Kenneth had made it enough times to have the recipe memorized so he'd decided since he ended classes earlier than Lucien to make him something to show his appreciation.
