Chapter 263 - The Great Sun Soaring Through the Sky, Causality Authority

God, as the Supreme God of the Christian pantheon, possessed power that was far more than just light. Though He began His work on the first day of Creation by calling forth the light, that was merely the beginning. In truth, it was but the tip of the iceberg of His true power.

Light was merely Jehovah's foundation, not His entirety. As the omnipotent God of the Bible, His true power was far more terrifying than this.

Therefore, when He loudly proclaimed His title, an indescribable force began to intervene in the struggle between the two.

"I say to you, heretic. You shall not withstand My might, and you shall be drowned beneath My radiance."

A surging Sea of Light roared forward at His call, crashing down upon Zhou Yi's Sun Wheel with the force of ten thousand tons. Endless, pure white holy light splashed like giant waves against the golden flames and radiance, violently pushing and squeezing Zhou Yi's Sun Wheel, seeking to drown it in His embrace.

Yet the Sun Wheel, forged from Divine Fire and golden light, remained exceptionally steadfast. No matter how colossal the tsunami wrought by the Sea of Light, the wheel hung steadily in mid-air, unperturbed. The golden radiance and Divine Fire continued to blaze brilliantly, completely unmoved by the surging waves.

Under Zhou Yi's control, the Sun Wheel even began to break free from the waves' entanglement. But just as he prepared to ascend, the unexpected happened.

The divinity within his body, which had been surging continuously, suddenly spiraled out of control. Although Zhou Yi regained mastery of it in an instant, in that fleeting moment, his Sun Wheel was swallowed by the encroaching Sea of Light.

Endless radiance completely enveloped the Sun Wheel that Zhou Yi had become. Every moment, every instant, it eroded his strength. The Sea of Light sought to strip away this layer of divine protection and unleash its power directly upon Zhou Yi himself. If the essence of divinity was being suppressed, then this infinite quantity of power would be used to achieve its purpose.

This was Jehovah's gambit. As the Supreme Being of his pantheon, he refused to believe a new god like Zhou Yi could rival him in sheer divine power. Besides, Zhou Yi had already been thoroughly weakened by another of his abilities. With this advantage, Jehovah was poised to crush his opponent—a tactic he favored above all others.

Suddenly finding himself at a disadvantage, Zhou Yi was bewildered. He wasn't worried that Jehovah would breach his Sun Wheel with such a method. What truly concerned him was what had just occurred.

A loss of divine control was no minor matter. Given his own abilities, it should have been impossible. Neither his divine status nor his innate control should have allowed such a failure. Yet, this very accident had now occurred.

Everything must have a cause. No accident ever happens without a reason. Therefore, this anomaly must have been triggered by something. If the cause didn't lie within himself, it had to be an external factor.

Following this line of reasoning, Zhou Yi found Jehovah's recent words highly suspicious. However, he couldn't be certain yet, and his immediate priority wasn't to investigate this but to escape his current predicament.

If Jehovah wanted to challenge him in a contest of divine power, he was sorely mistaken. Zhou Yi never worried about a shortage of divine power because his was truly infinite.

His divinity grew almost every moment. No matter how much he expended, the next instant, a surge of newly generated divine power would refill every corner of his being. It was as if he had become a star—as long as it burned, it possessed nearly limitless power, never diminishing, never fading.

For example, the divine power he had just spent sustaining the Sun Wheel was far less than what his body had regenerated in the same interval. Jehovah had certainly applied some pressure, but it hadn't weakened him at all. On the contrary, it had caused his divinity to surge forward in a leap of growth.

This was the exact opposite of what Jehovah had intended, but Zhou Yi was not foolish enough to tell him. He surged his divine power, causing the light and fire on the Sun Wheel to erupt with even greater violence. Endless Divine Fire and golden light intertwined, transforming the entire Sun Wheel into a colossal fireball wreathed in golden flames. The next moment, the massively expanded fireball tore through the Sea of Light's resistance and burst forth from the endless radiance.

The instant it emerged, Zhou Yi charged straight at Jehovah. He slowed the flow of time, and combined with his incomparable speed, the blazing fireball instantly became the Great Sun Soaring Through the Sky, hurtling toward Jehovah in the heavens.

Standing still and taking hits was never Zhou Yi's style; he preferred a good old-fashioned brawl. He had no qualms about Jehovah's status as God. At this moment, only landing a punch on him could vent the pent-up frustration in his heart.

It was obvious what would happen if one were to be struck by Zhou Yi in this state. Even as God, Jehovah would not want to taste a blow imbued with the Sun Divine Fire.

Yet, no matter how fierce the Great Sun Soaring Through the Sky strike was, Jehovah paid it no mind. He watched Zhou Yi hurtle toward him, retreating within the light with near-instantaneous movement, all while booming a command.

"Heretic! As a fallen god, you cannot cross the chasm that separates you from Heaven, nor can you gaze upon my Glory!"

The moment the words were spoken, Zhou Yi felt the distance between himself and Jehovah stretch infinitely. No matter his speed, he could never close the gap. Even though Jehovah stood motionless, Zhou Yi could not reach him.

An invisible chasm seemed to have formed between them, a barrier that halted Zhou Yi's advance. No matter how he chased, he could never reach Jehovah, let alone land a punch.

*What is this?*

Faced with this, Zhou Yi's heart filled with alarm and confusion. He was certain that Jehovah's words had caused this, but he couldn't fathom why.

He could only feel the void before him distorting, transforming into a labyrinthine space. If he were to keep flying straight, he would never reach Jehovah. However, this labyrinth could not stop him.

Having mastered the mysteries of the void, Zhou Yi directly tore through the labyrinth's barriers, cutting straight through the spatial maze. From then on, even if another labyrinth appeared before him, it wouldn't hinder him in the slightest. He transformed into the Great Sun, shooting out of the void in an instant and closing in on Jehovah.

Just as Zhou Yi couldn't understand how Jehovah possessed the ability to create infinite effects with just a few words, Jehovah was equally shocked by Zhou Yi's performance.

He had already used his most powerful authority twice against Zhou Yi, yet the results were pitifully limited. This was completely contrary to what he had anticipated.

After all, his reputation as omniscient and omnipotent rested almost entirely on the power of this authority. Even among the countless gods on Earth, this ability was exceptionally rare and powerful.

This was a power that could be said to reign supreme over all creation. As long as he spoke his will with divine power, his words would become reality.

It ignored all existing factors, directly altering the possibilities of an event's development from the fundamental level of causal probability. Even the most impossible occurrences would become fact the moment he spoke them into existence using this authority.

Of course, exercising this power came with numerous restrictions. If the desired change affected too many people, objects, or spans of time and space, the user would suffer a massive backlash. In severe cases, they would be rejected and consumed by the Law of Causality itself. This was a price no one could afford to pay—not even a god.

To disrupt the balance of the Law of Causality was, in some ways, more terrifying than complete annihilation. It was an act that utterly twisted the laws of the universe; therefore, anyone who dared to do so would inevitably be erased by the universe's own corrective force. This was not mere death, but a complete and thorough erasure of their very existence from its roots.

Their life, their history, the memories of everyone who ever knew them, and everything they ever created would vanish from the world. It would be as if they had never existed at all.

This was an absolute terror for any living being. Even Jehovah, as God, dared not bear such consequences. Thus, he had always wielded this authority with extreme caution. Of course, while his prudence had limited its full might, this authority had never failed him until now.

Until today, this very moment. Against Zhou Yi, his authority had failed.

He refused to believe it, yet he had no choice. For Zhou Yi had already struck him.

The reality woven by the Causality Authority was shattered again and again by Zhou Yi. No matter how much power Jehovah poured into it, he could not stop Zhou Yi from tearing through the reality he had spun. To his senses, only a thin veil of reality remained between them—a spatial rift that would shatter at the slightest touch.

Perhaps in the next instant, Zhou Yi would ride the Great Sun, unleashing its boundless, blazing Divine Fire upon Jehovah. But more than that, Jehovah dreaded what he truly could not accept: the first failure in countless eons of the authority that had sustained his status as the Supreme Heavenly Father.

Therefore, facing the relentless Zhou Yi, Jehovah abandoned his caution and unleashed his full power without restraint.

"I am the Omniscient and Omnipotent, the All-Wise and All-Seeing, the All-Powerful, All-Loving, All-Creating, and Ever-Supreme and Eternal. I am omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient, and owner of all. I am the Creator of all things, the Ruler of the Universe, the Revealer of Truth, the Savior of the Chosen, and the Judge of Sin. I am God, I am the Heavenly Father, the Lord of Heaven. I command you, heretical false god: You shall not set foot before me. You shall not gaze upon my radiance. Your protections are naught but illusions; your power is utterly frail. You shall fail. You shall fall. Above the heavens, you shall find no place to stand!"

Thunder roared, and dark clouds churned. The entire extradimensional space shook violently. This realm had been utterly subdued by Jehovah's divine majesty. Countless pillars of light churned the storm-filled sky, as bolts of lightning tore through the darkness. Above, the Great Sun Soaring Through the Sky began to fall from the clouds.
